I've been waiting since 10/8/14 for the 04G-P4-2978-KR 970 FTW. ~.~

I initially did the 9/19/14 step-up for the 980 Reference but switched because I wanted to do SLI.

Finally??!?!?   Most of the US 980 Step up people have been waiting since 9/22/14.  Your enthusiasm for a little over one week of waiting is .  I'm happy you were able to get your new card in a timely fashion but remember some of us have been waiting for over a month and a half and we are sad .

Yes, you're right... I didn't want to bother anybody, just happy that's all

No bother. I should have thrown in a ::sarcasm:: tag there.  Though I am jealous.  Enjoy the card when you get it.  You are an EU or US step up?

I'm from Germany, so EU step up. Maybe that's the difference...

Yeah I don't understand how some get queued before other that have been waiting 4 and 5 times longer...
I opted out of step-up because I saw people getting their card shipped in less that 2 weeks while i've been pending since late september...not because they got queued before me but because if I want a FTW I can just order one frome newegg since they have it in stock.

Mysteries of life I guess.

I really do not understand how some of you are getting your cards shipped within 1-2 weeks. Here I am, waiting since September and my queue is still pending. I'm trying to step up from two 780ti's to two 980's. I reside in the United States if that makes any difference. I've tried e-mailing EVGA about a status update but they never replied to me.
As you can see from my picture, I purchased my cards from NewEgg just a few days before doing the step-up. I would have returned them to NewEgg as the warranty was still in tact I believe but I threw the boxes away so I didn't think NewEgg would accept a return and thus I decided to roll with the EVGA Step-Up Program instead.

Does anyone have suggestions for me? Do I just keep waiting for my turn? I honestly want these cards before GTAV comes out on PC in January 2015.

Also, here is a picture of my status for both video cards:

Literally an IDENTICAL situation for me, dude. I have two 780Ti ACX's waiting for Step-Up and have been in queue since mid September. However, I purchased my cards from Tigerdirect. Why is this taking so long?

Does anyone know if I can I use the step-up program to upgrade from a reference 980 Superclocked into the 980 Classified?

@meatspzz

They don't put the Classified cards into the step up options. They are their top of the line cards, so just keep the 980 SC. :)

Suprised to see the 970 FTW in there but I don't think any classy's have ever been an option.

Hello everybody,

I´m in the same situation, waiting since the beginning of september to step up from a 780 Ti SC to a 980 ACX 2.0

I sent a mail to ask about the long time waiting and the answer did not make sense... so, I don´t know how much time more should I wait, even more when some of you had your step ups completed wthin 1 or 2 weeks.

Regards,

You just...wait. That's all you can do in a situation like this. Just like when the government screws up paper work and you need something mailed to you, you have to wait for them to do it(which has taken weeks in my recent experience..). Just check your email a few times every other day and wait for the next step.

I guess I'm lucky with school because I totally forgot about my step-up and then one day I got the email for Verification and things started happening. I'm just glad EVGA offers the Step-up program at all, I know Asus wouldn't let me "step-up" to a Rampage 4 Black from my 4.

I will either find a way, or make one.

It seems most of the people who have been completing their step ups quickly have been moving to the 970 not the 980.  It also appears the US and EU Lists are completely separate.

OK who is the best person to post with from the UK and does anyone know the weight of the GTX780 GPU as at the moment I am being quoted £30 per GPU.

Do they have to go in individual boxes?

I really appreciate this thread. While I don't post much, I do however browse these forums and check this thread multiple times a day. Just wanted to say thanks to those who have responded and kept us updated. Hoping to get my 980 soon, but I've waited this long so.. I'll be okay, plus I'm not exactly suffering over here with my 770 Classy. ;)

Should I step up my standard GTX 970 to the FTW edition?

My standard 970 has no coil whine, and has been OCed to 1420 MHz max w/ +200 MHz mem clock. Max temp is 73c with a custom fan profile at around 60% at 72c. 12100 Fire Strike graphics score.

Is it worth the $60 step-up for the higher base clock and improved cooler?
