I believe you won't see a need for the hb bridge unless you're resolutions and frame rates exceed what the old bridges can provide.
I am completely expecting the new one to be like two old led bridges, or a three way, four way led bridge. Just need 650 hz.
The new sli configuration is hardware dependant. the bandwidth is what's needed at the upper end if things. Most people with two 1080's or 1070's will not be running 1080p.
There is the oddity of NVIDIA saying the new bridge is only capatible with Pascal but I'd really like an explanation as to why...?

I just got my SLI HB bridge this morning for my two 1080's. I was using two ribbon cables before I got this. Ran firestrike ultra a few times and it doesn't seem to make any difference whatsoever! Looks better though :P

Overnight shipping is an amazing thing. The user didn't say it was an EVGA bridge either, so it should be assumed they meant the nvidia bridge.

Yea, and amazing since Nvidia/DigitalRiver doesn't offer any overnight shipping on these either. And if you have ever dealt with them, you know they don't ship the day you order or work weekends for shipping. If they got theirs from an order on Friday great. Just like to confirm how they got it and if they got a pic of it.

Don't know what to tell you man but the proof is right above you! I clicked "notify me" on the nvidia website for when the HB bridges became available and got an e-mail friday morning saying they were out. Bought it and opted for the 1-2 day shipping (I live in Canada so it cost me $30 US to ship) as it was only 3 dollars more then standard 3-7 day shipping. Same way I got my two EVGA 1080's! Clicked the notify me button, got the e-mail the night before they were released with the time they would be released at. Grabbed them off of NCIX (again as I'm in Canada) at 9 AM Friday morning, by Monday afternoon (May 30th) I had them in my hands.

I've ran firestrike ultra multiple times since I got the bridge and there literally hasn't been any difference in graphics or overall score. I currently hold the 51 or 52 spot on the firestrike ultra hall of fame with a score of 10242 I believe and I have yet to beat that, even with the new HB bridge. Edit here's my FS ultra score. Again I have yet to beat it with the new HB bridge. Edit 2 they won't let me post the link cause I have less than 9 posts. Look up the hall of fame for 2x sli and you'll find me at 52 though.

I noticed a difference... Maybe it's just me. Fire strike slightly higher, some games 6 fps higher. In dirt, racing feels smoother. Fire strike using ribbons was 10320. 39th place.  Still no explanation as to why these bridges only work on Pascal cards...

Nope still at 2.1 ghz. Nothing changed I just swapped the ribbons to the new bridge.
I'll run it a few times tomorrow to make sure it's not the placebo effect. but dirt in 4K all setting full max AA suddenly gets 6fps more than yesterday.

had some breakfast...
the chart they show for what bridges are needed doesnt state that the hb bridge is needed unless you are above 4K AND above 60hz. So if you are not above this then it makes sense you wont see a performance as you are not saturating the bridges bandwith.
I have an improvement, more fps and higher bench mark numbers. I am up 400 points in fire strike extreme placed as the top Canadian in 28th place , up about 100 points in fire strike Ultra as the second highest Canadian in 36th place.
