Hey guys,

I was wondering how do refund work and if I am eligible for it.

I purchased the GTX 1080 FTW on Wednsday 24th August and yesterday after I received and tried running some games I have been into some crashes such as black screen + fans spinning to the max.

I don't want to wonder why many people have this problem because it sounds unreasonable that all these people have the same issue on out of the box card, for me this means EVGA did not test properly their cards before dispatching the order.

It might be a driver issue I don't know but I tried many ways and as far as I know EVGA did not make any statement regarding the problem many of us are into.

I am still waiting for an answer from the technical support but I don't think they will answer since is saturday and it might be their day off.

I am really sorry this happened with my very first EVGA gpu I purchased, I heard many great things about this company but the first impression is really really bad. Especially after reading online that many people have done the RMA but still received faulty GPUS, this makes me even angrier.
We are spending thousands of euros/dollars on hardware to have an excellent service, not a bunch of faulty gpus which get replaced with many other faulty stuff.

Sorry for the rant but I am really pissed off about the situation.

So please if you could tell me how to get a refund would be really appreciated.

I suggest contacting EVGA directly to get information from them. They might be able to give you a full refund, or replace the card at no shipping cost to you since it is so new:

Is that the European VAT (tax) ?

If there is a restocking fee from EVGA - it probably exists to stop people from constantly returning product, because they hope the next one will OC even better.

You could ask for assistance from EVGA Customer Service - Non FTW card or with refund

Only option is rma and then sell it yourself, i dont think evga will give full refund even if the card is faulty.

Because the card was DOA I recommend you contact EU support directly so we can work with you on a refund. We do consider each refund on a case by case basis.

I might do an advanced RMA in the 1st place and check a second card. Because a part from everything this card runs pretty fine. In case the 2nd won't work I will ask for a refund. Advanced RMA is available only in the first 30 days of purchase right ?

The Advanced RMA is not limited to the first 30 days in the EU. The Advanced RMA terms are different in the US and EU. See the Advanced RMA EU page HERE.

You will receive a brand new in box replacement within the first 30 days. We may require some quick troubleshooting to determine if the source of the crashes is hardware related. It is highly unlikely you will receive two brand new cards both with hardware issues so I would not worry about this being the case. If there are issues we are always glad to help.
