Hi, I'm new to the Nvidia GPU Boost technology (my previous card was a GTX580). So, I've been trouble shooting a problem in my new PC where it would just shut itself off! Things pointed at the GTX Titan. So, While I was just researching on Nvidia's GPU Boost 2.0 and doing some stressing tests.. I noticed this: I also use EVGA's Precision X and it reports 1212 for GPU voltage all the time. Thanks

The firmware on the card will adjust the GPU voltage depending on the specific GPU on the card as every GPU is different so this can happen however it is unusual that it will stay at the same voltage under load and idling. Try uninstalling Precision X without saving the settings then reload the drivers with the clean install option enabled under Custom after the drivers uncompress and see if there is any change. Precision X has to talk to the drivers to do any adjustments to both can cause odd issues and behaviors. If you have any other monitoring or overclocking programs installed uninstall them without saving their settings as well. For the system shutting off check what the GPU temp is running at and if possible try the card in another system as it could be an issue with the power supply or something else failing under the increased Titan load when in a game.

is it a brand new card or second hand? because to me it looks like a modded bios is active.

Where did you buy the card? Looks like the bios has been modded? Precision X's max is normally 1.2 so the bios almost has to be modded unless it's just a reading error for some reason.

Sorry for the late reply. I read your responses and wanted to test few things based on that. EVGATech_MattM Try uninstalling Precision X without saving the settings then reload the drivers with the clean install option enabled under Custom after the drivers uncompress and see if there is any change. I did that and you were right. It was the drivers. Maybe because I was switching back and forth between the Titan and a GTX580 during trouble shooting the problem. thebski Where did you buy the card? Looks like the bios has been modded? Precision X's max is normally 1.2 so the bios almost has to be modded unless it's just a reading error for some reason. I bought it off Craigslist. It seems it was the drivers that did that as EVGATech_MattM suspected. Everything is working properly now after I reformatted my PC and installed the Windows 8 upgrade over Windows 7. Thanks. You guys rock.
