I'd be very interested in seeing if this helped at all since I have a now out off warranty EVGA GTX-680 sc acting up. I got nothing to lose by flashing a modded BIOS onto it. Boosting volatge using Afterburner doesn't help. I can't OC at all but it is completely stable at stock clocks. I think that self-destruct countdown timer EVGA builds into their BIOS kicked in right after the warranty expired in February.

Can you or anyone want to clarify the flash process.  I'm seeing 3 different conflicting bit of information performing the procedure.  
 
1 nvflash --protectoff then nvflash of step 2 or 3
2 nvflash filename.rom
3 nvflash -4 -5 -6 filename.rom 
 
So which is it?

Anyone of them should work. I think I used '-4' but my boards are Maxwell. It's normally -4 or -6.

Yeah, I'm curious too since my EVGA GTX-680 superclocked is acting the same way after running fine for years. Since it's out of warranty I don't have any issues with flashing the VBIOS anymore.
