Ive actually just started the Gamers Nexus video series where they tore down a Titan X pascal and modded it in order to fit a hybrid kit.

Yeah that's what many of us have been forced to do. Currently there is no other AIO option anywhere.
 
Of course full custom loops are better, but personally I do not have the time or the desire to set up and maintain a full custom loop again.
 

I actually just noticed that a bunch of industry guys were at the EVGA plant this past week, so I am guessing (HOPING) that EVGA is going to be releasing some new products next week. If you watch Gamers Nexus most recent video (ASK GN) you will see he mentions product launches next week...
 
I really hope the titan X hybrid cooler is one of them!

They said mid February, that should be next week. Jacob said it in some answers on his twitter account

Ugh.. yeah I really had high hopes guys when I posted that a bunch of people were over at the EVGA headquarters.... but that was a total epic fail.. Who the hell is going to buy a new 1080 right now? Honestly, probably some people.. but I personally would not be one of those people, and I don't think many smart consumers would either. With Vega and the 1080ti looming large, I think the window of "should I pick up a 1080" has passed...I mean I think its still a great card but if someone is interested in one I would definitely hold off because the 1080 will definitely be getting a price cut...  I have no regrets with buying mine. I picked up 2 at launch and had a lot of fun with them except for the abysmal SLI support from Nvidia since the 10 series dropped. 
 
Anyway, yeah... I wish EVGA would give a straight answer on the Titan XP hybrid kit. This is kind of annoying.

Please let us know if you hear more! Summer is coming and temps are rising!

So don't stop waiting XD, gets a bit annoying...

Kind of a joke really. Hopefully they're on the up and up for the 1080Ti and this cooler is compatible with it or customers will be waiting half a year for the next Hybrid cooler.

So last week.  I bet that means the 27th of February through the 3rd of March. :)

Tinfoil hat time!! Who thinks theyre delaying the hybrid kit because they want to sell more 1080ti's when it inevitably launches next month lol...
 
half serious comment is half serious... but I sincerely think the 1080ti will be announced at the Nvidia press conference at GDC next week... If so ill be glad I held off on buying that titan XP. (the reason I haven't gotten one yet was because when I sold one of my GTX 1080s and went to order my titan, they were out of stock and stayed that way up until a few days ago) 

Ohhhhh. So they have had to wait for the release so that they can launch the unit, which will be labeled as a 1080ti cooler (since tons more of those will sell than titan xp), also compatible with Titan XP. Makes sense. Especially since it seems that they've had it working for a while.
 
However I still believe that nvidia might still hold off on the 1080ti. The time seems prime though, since they definitely want to capture the rest of the holdouts before the summer vega launches.

 
So it seems like they don't plan to make it fit the 1080ti as well. Or that Jacob doesn't know of it, at the least.

Money is still down that they're going to come out and announce... "sorry folks, nvidia said 'no'. No worries though, Nvidia's cooling is still pretty decent. Please stay tuned for EVGA's next upcoming cooling for 1080Ti."

It will be released when Volta is released. LOL

I bet this will get released when the 1080ti is as they will have the same board and the same cooler.  

Would like an update as well. Upgrading my Maxwell Titan X's and had just ordered the 1080 coolers on Amazon, but with these right around the corner (supposedly), they'd certainly be a better option.
