I think the VRM issue on FTW cards threw a wrench into the "very soon" plan.

Been watching this forum for a month or two now waiting for this AIO hybrid for my Titan XP. I'm going to cry if it doesn't come pre January. It just runs so warm under medium load and I have really great air flow and water cooling for my CPU.... Please EVGA!

Kinda off topic but does the EVGA FTW Hybrid Kit has the added thermal pads as well on the VRMs? Thanks!

Going with another option is looking more and more tempting.

12900kf, ROG Strix z690-a Gaming, 32gb Gskill DDR4 4000, EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra, Ae-5, Seasonic 1000 Titanium, EK 360 AIO, Corsair 680, LG 38in, AKGK7XX, Samsung NVME 2tb

Check out the installation guide [link] - there are thermal pads over the memory at least, but can't tell if you have to request pads separately for VRM..  maybe an EVGA Tech can respond?

EK Predator can't cool CPU and 2 Titan GPU.

The AIO mod (and future EVGA kit) is temporary until I bite the bullet and build a custom loop.

Yes it can with a 140mm add on rad. Why are you wasting so much money on these kits? You could be putting the money into your custom loop.

Last I checked (about 3 weeks ago), you couldn't add on a rad without draining and refilling the loop (i.e. the "quick disconnects only went to the GPUs)...hence defeating the purpose of an AIO.  Has something changed?

And it's not really wasting money...I have an AIO for my CPU and both my GPUs...fits great in the front of my Corsair 740 Air case!

Yes they added this one: EK-XLC Predator 140 (incl. QDC). My one Titan is looking lonely but man it's fast!
Don't do it sli aint worth it.

I had two GTX 980 KingPins in sli before the Titan X Pascal. I never had any issues with my setup. If a game was not compatible I would just turn off sli.
The sli is fun to bench mark!

I don't know about a €1250 card being fun to bench. You must have some jobSli in bf1 and gears persuaded me to give up the dream. Also micro stutter fo4Bye bye SLI.

Please post some pic's when installed. Thanks

Hi all! Any update Jacob? I know you love hearing this. Let's keep the thread/dream alive guys! I'm guessing that EVGA will wait for the 1080ti release, since it's supposed to be on the GP102. Would make sense to me.

Can anyone suggest a good guide on graphics cooling? I'd like to learn about the VRM, ram, gpu, etc. and about their requirements as far as cooling go.

Also:
When you add a liquid cooler (like a hybrid kit) and remove the heat sink in the card, does cooling for the other components suffer?? (since the cooling for those depends on conduction from the component, through a pad, through the plate, through the heat sink) I guess this detail is where a custom waterblock really shines...? If I utilized a 1080 kit, how could I ensure cooling of these components...?

Re: Petion for EVGA TITAN X HYBRID 2016/11/22 07:58:56 (permalink)
When you use the 1080 kit, you do the following at minimum:

1. Remove the heat sink on the GPU
2. Replace the heat sink on the GPU with the AIO cooling block (it comes with a splitter cable to power the card fan and the pump)
3. Leave everything else (the original fan, PCB heat spreader, and backplate)

Other folks have modded the 1080 PCB heat spreader to fit onto the Titan X P card.  The up side is that you can mount the 1080 hybrid shroud on the card (looks nicer).  The down side (at least for me) was having to mod the heat spreader and risk having something short out or not cool properly...i.e. the Titan X P heat spreader was designed to cool this card.

Keeping the Titan X P PCB heat spreader makes the card look kind of ghetto-mod-ish, but it functions very well.  Both of my Titan X P cards see about 45 C during heavy use (gaming, folding @ home, etc.)  (I'm getting a thermal camera for Christmas...and will take VRM/memory temperature pictures!!!)

You run the card fan at around 40% or so.  This pulls air into the card and blows it across the heat spreader to keep the VRM and memory cool.  The existing heat sink that you are removing was only connected directly to the GPU...it did not come in contact with the PCB heat spreader.

You have to totally disassemble the card to get at the fan connector on the PCB.  Take your time, and keep the screws grouped...will take you about an hour to mod the card.

Here is a quick post I did for my cards:

http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php/776114-Build-Log-JrClocker-s-Titan-X-P-AIO-Hybrid-Cooler-Mod

(I'll buy the EVGA kit when it actually comes out!)

Re: Petion for EVGA TITAN X HYBRID 2016/11/22 08:07:36 (permalink)
Very educational! Thanks. I guess I did not realize that the heat sink that gets removed only touches the GPU.

Please post some pics from the thermal camera when you get it! That's a great tool to have for any kind of cooling work. They're not often totally accurate from my work experience, but they DEFINITELY give you a relative feel for temps in a system. Hot is hot, right? ha

I'd say no. It's been what, 4 months to slightly modify a plastic shroud? It's not like they had to reinvent the wheel here or design a new pump to make this work. It's not like supply is an issue the hybrids standalones and cards have been in stock for months now. They even made 2 new GPU sku's putting the Hybrid on standard 1080/1070 cards cause they had too many of them lying around probably.

It Would be Very nice to hear some news or status updates. I am following this post since the beginning and I see all those customers just waiting with no awnsers. Please admins give some feedback of what we can excpect. We are "still" your customers...

I hope @EVGA_JacobF can give us something, last post he did was over 6 weeks ago.

Thanks in advance.

No, it's not. If it was, it would be released by now. Any modification(s) on the Nvidia cooler, alone, breaks the warranty. End of story. You own an Nvidia product; not an EVGA product.

And technically, this thread should be listed under general hardware, just saying.

Re: Petion for EVGA TITAN X HYBRID 2016/12/07 22:14:33 (permalink)
I was lurking this forum for 2 months after the card came out. Finally became impatient and put one of these   on my Titan XP with these on the vram After getting tired of waiting for EVGA's kit to come out.

Installation was awful, and the card sag is unreal, but performance is fantastic. Check out my Afterburner settings (pay attention to the temps) That's idle on a very cold day of course. Under heavy load it maxes out at around 62C (with the fans on the rad at 45%) and clock of 2100 Mhz.

My main gripe with the installation is the position of the tubes. They come out on a 45 degree angle from the card. Which means your options are either for it to go towards the front or the back of the case. So you'd think to go forwards right? Even the manual tells you to go forwards. But ITS WRONG, or at least really sketch. The problem is the heat sink for the VRM's is massive. You need to seriously bend the tubes for them to fit, they need a lot of pressure and it puts a lot of really sketchy scratches in the tubes. I did it that way at first, and it worked, but I felt too uncomfortable with it and re did it with the tubes going towards the back.

Doing it that way installation was much much smoother, but the tubes barely long enough for me to mount the radiator on the front of the case (NZXT H440). It works now though and looks great. I dealt with the intense sag by building a chain of zip ties, anchoring them to one of the hard drive mounts and then tightening one with a level on the card. There's still a slight dip in the center of the card if you really squint but over all I think it looks really good.

Another thing I ended up doing was running zip ties through the loops on the I/O shield into their corresponding screw holes on the PCB. I did that because otherwise the only thing keeping the PCB and the I/O shield together are the screws that attach to the connectors themselves.

Here's the best photo I have of it in the case. Please excuse the mess. I had photos of it before it was installed in the case but I'm an idiot and deleted all of them.

Edit: Links didn't show up. Sorry I'm new here. Photo attached. The cooler is an Accelero Hybrid III-140. And the Afterburner screen cap was to show it sits at ambient temperature when just at the desktop.

Hi QWERTY, If you look at my post again you'll see a photo of my build. That's the best photo of it I have. The cooler is an Accelero Hybrid III-140, and I attached mini copper heat sinks directly to the Vram. The ones I used are listed on Amazon as "SainSmart Copper Heatsink Heat Sink Cooler Set for Raspberry Pi RPI" I bought 4, which was enough for each module.

Attached is a screenshot of my AfterBurner Settings.

Re: Petion for EVGA TITAN X HYBRID 2016/12/12 19:23:12 (permalink)
NVIDIA shut the board partners out of the Titan XP, so....why would EVGA go out of their way to offer a cooling solution for a card that they can't sell?  Especially when there's full coverage blocks out for the Titan XP already.  Sounds like a dead end, waste of money....if I were EVGA, I wouldn't even bother thinking about it.  There's no money in it.
