If EVGA can't sell the new Pascal Titan X then can they please design a Hybrid cooler for it? Please :)

Who's to say that the 1080 cooler won't work with it as it is?

Afterall, even the 980ti hybrid cooler worked with the 1080...  There's a handful of board users that are using this setup at the moment.

1080 only has 1 power connector. Titan has 2. Shroud is diff.

NVIDIA exclusive. Partners like EVGA aren't allowed to sell the new card. This is a real shame as EVGA came out with the Maxwell Titan X Hybrid which had the sweet cooler and higher stock clocks AND the awesome EVGA warranty + support.

EVGA Jacob verified this on the forum and on the live stream today.

So cut the shroud.... All in all, you are modifying an Nvidia branded component. Nvidia uses those tamper stickers to know if you removed the cooler, and your warranty is void. So the way I see it, if you can justify modifying a 1200 dollar graphics card, knowing you now have no warranty, you can also justify modding EVGA's cooler.

It has more cores.than the 1080, therefore the GPU block is bigger. Even if you cut the shroud, the heatsink might not be large enough.

I highly doubt the die is any different. Highly highly highly doubt it. I can almost 100% guarantee you they are the same size.

I'd like something that had a warranty. One of my titans broke and EVGA took great care of me. It's frustrating that EVGA won't be able to sell the card.

This really sucks... I really wanted to go Titan this round. I'd rather not spend 1200 on a gpu that isnt covered under EVGA

I agree 100% that it is frustrating. But Nvidia can do whatever they want to. They will make money off the Titan, however, I think this is a really really crappy move on their part. I think they'd make more money if they let their partners sell the cards. But who am I to judge.

Just get an aftermarket block and watercool it with a ek predator or swiftech h240 if you dont want to build custom loop.

or buy used parts for a custom loop on the evga marketplace. lots of good sellers here. :)

Its a 1200 dollar card. It deserves to be watercooled. seems like anyone who would spend 1200 on the card would spend a little more to cool it well.

I don't think anybody should be suggesting there won't be a 3rd-party Titan X; Nvidia haven't said as much.

Really? Let me point it out for you....

WHAT DOES THIS WARRANTY NOT COVER?
....misapplication of service by a party other than an authorized service representative....

In other words. If you install a cooler, and your card fails, they have an easy out on warrantying the product.

I'm sorry, but I'm not giving into their obvious money grab. $1000 was a lot, but now they want $1200? Forget that.

AMD needs to so something very soon. There's no competition in the top tier GPU class.

The sad part is that people will buy this card up just like the OG Titan X. If it didn't sell well, they might reconsider their pricing and lower it. Instead, more than likely, it'll sell out everywhere and Nvidia well list their next Titan X at $1400-1500.

Even with that they're going to have a hard time proving the card had an aftermarket cooler on it as the cards come with no tamper stickers. None of my cards have tamper stickers on them.

I'll only buy the Pascal Titan X (ideally two) if I'm able to purchase it with an AIO cooler from EVGA. Considering how stupidly poor the 1080 reference cooler is, I sincerely doubt it'll be sufficient and I simply don't want to put the effort into creating a custom loop. If Nvidia insists on only selling it directly then I'll wait for the next card.

this is exactly how I feel. I want two but only if I can get a hybrid kit from EVGA. Corsair's hybrid kit was a disaster at launch. They're clearly still learning, plus I want to support EVGA.

Thank you Jacob. You already have my money for 2 of your upgrade kits then. Would have been actual GPUs if Nvidia wasn't so stingy. I also returned my Gigabyte AIO. I knew I shouldn't have left your side and I suffered the consequences

AWESOME!!! You will be receiving two kit orders from me as well. As the other poster said, it would have been two Titan XP but NVIDIA is getting greedy. Either way, I'll have two EVGA branded Hybrid Titan XP soon :)

and the evga high bandwidth bridge :)

Like the previous Titan X, this card will probably not come with a backplate. Does EVGA have plans to release a Titan X backplate?

+1 for the back plate inclusion in the kit. Also, I'm not sure if the 1080 hybrid will have RGB lighting but I'd like to throw in a request for RBG lighting on the Titan XP hybrid kit. I'd probably pay $15-$30 extra for RBG lighting.

    Please and thank you :)
