Okay, getting better now that I've had a little time playing with that voltage curve in MSI. (ctrl+F in the beta)

Using a single EVGA LED SLI bridge ATM. Curious if the HB bridge will make a difference.

Does CPU speed effect graphics score>?

Yep.

Running 3dmark with physx set to cpu shouldn't hurt anything as 3dmark uses the cpu for physx anyway.

Run FluidMark with it set to the CPU and write down your score, then set it to the GPU and write down your score.
Post which is higher.

I've been at 4.7 on 1.34v with 5960x with some brief (just games - not hour long benchmarks) load peaks here and there of 85C package, for over a year without any issues at all.

Yea mine at 4.5 1.33v that all i can get anymore requires too much vcore not worth it.
My next CPU upgrade ill probably go to siliconlottery.com

Also changed physx  to GPU did nothing because benchmark doesn't use physx but worth shot. IDK why but i seem to be limited to 40k score this is just with core overclocked even if i change memory my score doesn't go any higher really weird.

Pretty similar. Our systems are very close to one another's, even have the same PSU.

I noticed that my CPU is running at 4.4Ghz, I thought I had it at 4.5Ghz. I guess when I changed out my MB I set it at 4.4.

Not surprising to see the physics score take a dip when you decrease your CPU LP, but a bit surprising to see the graphics score increase. Maybe the system allocates more processing to the GPU since it has less logical cores to work with, I really don't know.

Couple questions to anyone.

GPUz doesn't read asic for pascal ATM is there any other software that does?
Also is there any advantage with evga precision than MSI AB for 1080s?

I was able to run some tests of different bridge configurations.
I was after stability and not attempting to set any records here so everything is at stock speeds, no OC’ing going on.

Unfortunately with my case and motherboard layout I can't try a 3-way/4-way bridge.
I also ran into stability problems with a single 2-way EVGA SLI v2 bridge.
3DMark would hang and took more than a few attempts to get a successful score, but the result was a bit surprising.

Hope this helps.

You can only use PrecisionX OC http://www.evga.com/precisionxoc/ the Old PrecisionX 16 cannot be used on the Pascal Cards.

Ill try it out this MSI AB im using is beta

Updated 3D Mark Scores:
Firestrike (24672) - http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8691388
Firestrike Extreme (17460) - http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8691493
Firestrike Ultra (10035) - http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8691609

I have been playing a variety of games: Doom, GTA V, The Witcher, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, COD BO 3, and many others.  I have been able to play on max settings in every game in my surround set-up (5940 x 1080).  FPS is usually well over 100 FPS.  The lowest I saw it get was in the Vanishing of Ethan Carter (around 60 FPS) but I had every feature, bell and whistle turned up I believe.

Don't the newer hard bridges support the increased clock speed?

Nvidia says the flexible bridges do not, but I could have sworn that they mentioned the hard bridges work better than the flexible bridges - 400MHz vs 600MHz?

Sorry I meant the newer, but already released for a while but not the brand new unreleased HB bridges, hard bridges.

I could have sworn that I read somewhere that the "old" hard bridges work at the higher frequencies.

yea im not sure thought i read they are not same.
IDK what the huge delay is though you would think nvidia would have had ready for launch.

There have been several threads about this.  Bottom line is none of the current bridges are equal to the new HB bridges.  Some of the current ones are better than others.  EVGA Tech confirmed this to me directly.  In a few weeks at least those with dual SLI will be able to purchase a new EVGA HB bridge per Jacob.

Stupid question but how do you set priority to power in Afterburner?  In beta3 and beta4 I don't see it on the main window and MSI shows it with the older skins but doesn't show up for me when I select them.

Sorry I meant the newer, but already released for a while but not the brand new unreleased HB bridges, hard bridges.

I could have sworn that I read somewhere that the "old" hard bridges work at the higher frequencies.

Thanks for the heads up. Can't wait until they have them in stock.

Just a few comments and observations.  I have been playing multiple games in surround and these cards usually don't get above 60c.  Periodically low 70's but that is unusual.   Here is the fan curve I use:

Usually my OC boosts to around 2000MHz+ (in SLI) and stays there.  Rarely do they go down.  Right now I have my Core Clock at +107 and my memory at +100.  I can definitely push them higher but back off my maxes some.  At max for benching I had them at +220 Core and +200 memory.  This is using the "old fashioned" OCing.  I still need to understand and play with the new OC ability with this card.

The fan noise to me is not bad at all.  Nothing revving up or down.  I just hear the steady "purring" of my system but overall it is fairly quiet.  So I am not sure why some folks are concerned with temps or fan noise.  From what I can tell that is not a factor.  To each his/her own.
