WOW! Reinstalled windows and ran that program again mentioned by Sajin earlier... It worked!! Very strange, I must have had some corrupted files somewhere. Thank you so much for the help.

So you had to run the DifferentSLIAuto to get it to work though after reinstalling windows? It wouldn't work after reinstalling windows without differentsliauto?

Re: Question about 970 SLI 2015/01/24 21:20:07 (permalink)
SLI seems to be enabled now (after reinstalling Windows 8 and reapplying the SLI auto fix). But now, in Nvidia Control Panel, it says "for optimal 3D performance, connect the SLI -ready graphics cards with an SL connector". It has that message even after inabling SLI. I tried reinstalling my drivers and even bought a new SLI bridge. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Maybe it's a problem with Windows 8? Thanks in advance.

I've never seen that message before when I used DifferentSLI.

Anyone who has a EVGA GTX 970 SSC & EVGA GTX 970 FTW card needs to contact EVGA tech support immediately if you can not SLI. Tell the support agent you talk to that they need to contact Dave.

Include both part numbers of the cards.

If the support agent has questions ask the agent to contact me on the forums. Refer to this post.
