I just recently purchased an EVGA GTX 970 SSC to go along with my EVGA GTX 970 FTW card. I have it all hooked up including the SLI Bridge (in the correct SLI compatible slots in my motherboard) and with all the nvidia drivers installed. When I go into the Nvidia Control Panel, it says "to use maximum 3D performance, connect the SLI-ready graphics cards with an SLI connector". I am attaching a few pictures: one showing my nvidia control panel and the other showing how I am hooking up the 2 cards with the SLI bridge. I am wondering if maybe I don't have the SLI bridge hooked up right? I tried multiple different ways in plugging that in, I even went to frys today and purchased another SLI bridge. Same problem. I am very new to SLI and am wondering if I may be forgetting something?
PS: Already re-installed all drivers before SLI installation. Here are my PC specs if needed, thank you:

Try THIS to see if it helps get your SLI up and running.

NOTE: Read all the readme's included inside the file.

Hello, thanks for the quick response. I read through the forum you linked and am trying to run the "different SLI auto" think you mentioned. I got to the step where I am to run each installer, tried to run the first one in admin, opened the small admin box on my screen and quickly went away. The read me asked to click "patch" at that step, though nothing on my screen asked me to click a patch button. Assuming that it had worked and when clicking the second installer, I am getting a message saying "please extract everything from the package including the contents from the tools folder". I had extracted everything from that download though so I am not sure why it is telling me to do this? thanks

Disable your anti-virus then re-download and re-extract the file and try again. If running install #1 does not start a program that includes a patch button then you will need to manually start DifferentSLIAuto.exe and press patch then run install #2

ON the actual video cards, the bridge should be connected at the very far left right? because it looks like it can be connected in two different spots

When using a flexible/hard 2-way SLI bridge you can connect it to either one.

Copy the nvlddmkm.sys file located inside the nvlddmkm347.09 folder and place it into the C:\DifferentSLIAuto1.1_2 folder and then run install #2 then reboot.

In the read me when it says to extract to
c:\DifferentSLIAuto1.1_2
does that mean there was already a pre existing file under that name?

It means you should have extracted all the files from the downloaded DifferentSLIAuto1.1_2.rar to C:\DifferentSLIAuto1.1_2

No, you don't need to run Install #1 if you manually put the nvlddmkm.sys file located inside the nvlddmkm347.09 folder into the C:\DifferentSLIAuto1.1_2 folder.

Looks like you're gonna have to spend some money to figure out the issue. Buy more bridges or RMA the GPU's. Time to contact EVGA tech support to see what they have to say.

Maybe you can't SLI the FTW version with the SSC. I'd be pretty surprised if you can't though

.... reading all this... I was going to buy the SSC+ of the 970 GTX FTW..

I may now just buy the 2978 FTW version and just pair it... may cost a bit more and they may lack the Extra power phases.. but I dont want issues like Unreal is having..

Tho thought that does pop into my mind is your Bio's for your motherboard updated?

..WHY the hell does it randomly stick in a hyperlink when I post!?! So annoying.

Just for giggles I checked the driver install .inf file and there is only one device ID for the GTX 970 models. So, all of them should run in SLI with each other.
