When you're on the very bottom floor of the factory walk up to the Protectron. Turn left and climb the stairs that turn to the right at the top. Walk to the end and look down at the handrail on the right and you'll see a red button to press. Until I finally noticed that I even got out of my Power Armor and tried jumping across that gap but that wasn't happening either. LOL

Zuhl,

I found it. When you said Protectron I knew I missed something. So I went looking and found that level. Mission accomplished. Thank you.

While exploring I ran into a camp that has a Legendary that is fully suited in power armor and is flat out mean with an attitude. May have to crawl back into my power armor for this one.

Have 52 hours in and I've probably explored about 1/5 of the map so far (making sweeping patterns from Sanctuary outwards). Except for some fps drops and textures not loading properly, I'm loving this new look. Many hours have been sunk building up Sanctuary (got a huge watch tower near the bridge), and found 5 power armor suits so far with a lot of legendary weapons (wish they were this easy to get in Borderlands lol).

Always nice to see even the small changes, such as when I shot at a car from a good distance, the shock wave was very much visible and the boom did not reach me for a good second or two. Don't recall that ever happening in the previous games unless you used mods.

For those that have not encountered this here is a tip:
At some point you will be given a quest to clear out an area that is suited for settling. You will be tasked to erect a beacon for that area. If you do this task as requested you will be placed in a situation that you must drop everything that you are doing if the area comes under attack. This happened to me, twice. The first time I arrived there to assist the settlers that were there, the second time I didn't see the message until it was too late. But the point on the second one was that I was in the middle of a fight and a long way from the door. I then received a message that I failed because I didn't get there. I still haven't been there.

I discovered another glitch.
When doing battle with some ghouls I lost my pip boy screen and my weapon. I actually had the weapon but not an image of it. I could holster it and draw it repeatedly but not see it. You will see the ammunition count normally. I had to save the game and then do a reload. All came back to normal.

I took a legendary down and I received a set of Power Armor.

I lose sight of my weapon now and then. You just have to hit 'V' to switch views and then switch back again. Annoying for sure.

I tried that also. I could not even call up my pip boy.
Speaking of views, does your view randomly switch from 1st to 3rd without input from you? It does for me and that IS annoying. I think Bethesda trade marked that concept. LOL

Was not aware of that. Tough to pay attention to that when you're getting hammered by the enemy while performing a "Duck and Cover" movement. LOL

While the game is somewhat better than previous Fallout games, I am starting to get tired of the same old crap from them. I played through Fallout 3, but New Vegas was boring as hell. Fallout 4 is better than both, but getting boring quick.

Just started playing and so far so good. Seems a little clunky but I know when this game gets polished it will be great. Graphic shadows and textures seem to come and go. One minute they are clean and clear and the next they look terrible. Check out the screenshot. I have never seen better water in a game, at least that's a plus. When I started I couldn't get it to change resolution at all until I set my desktop to my native resolution of 2560x1600. Oh and sli didn't work until I made a shortcut from steam/steamapps/common fallout.exe. Once I did that the profile showed up in NVIDIA control panel but I still had to force AFR2. All settings maxed and my cards are running nice and cool never dropping below 60fps.

Need extra Experience Points? I may have found a way. A cheat alert.

While exploring I entered a building which has a safe and a computer. I picked (novice) the lock and emptied it. I then cracked the computer which controls the safe's lock. But because I unlocked the safe already, it gave me the option to lock it, so I did. I then went back to the safe and picked the lock and I received more XP. I did this a couple of times and only lost 1 bobby pin.

I can't remember where it was but if you see a safe and a computer together do the safe first.

^Yea, I found that to (forgot where). Although, want an even better way that feels more "productive"? Just build structures at settlements. Every piece of housing you put down/up is XP. I must have went through at least 3 levels just building and tearing down stuff.

What bothers me most is that it takes almost two minutes to fast travel or start the game. I can't begin to imagine how long I'd have to wait if didn't have all SSD in my PC. I got stuck and rearranged between a desk and a terminal again and had to load a save point.

I haven't tried that one yet. I picked up the babe in Combat Zone for a companion yesterday. She seems smarter than Strong but I question her combat ability.

Not sure if it's on Windows 10 end or AMD Catalyst 15.11.1 doing it but I went unstable when I patched the other day. Ended up yanking one of my R9 280X from my machine to get things under control. Whatever it was it didn't like me alt-tabbing into a hardware accelerated browser window. Before that, I was rock solid on driver side. Going to be glad 15.11.1 is the last Catalyst driver. Now just to see how Radeon Software handles things soon.

Twice this damn folding client opened when I launched Fallout 4 and my mouse got stuck inside its box. I couldn't even reach my Task Manager to shut anything down. I had to do a hard shutdown.

I still haven't figured out the cymbal banging monkeys yet. I can't pick them up or collect them. I just blow their little heads off and leave them there. Is there some kind of achievement for finding a certain amount of these annoying little creatures?

According to Wikipedia "In Fallout 4-videogame, Raiders use these monkeys as alarms to detect intruders."

I wondered about that but why can't I take one and use it myself? From now on I'm just going to waste the little buggers before they start their little cymbal nonsense.

Yes there is a cap. I believe it's 10+ the number of Charisma points you have, of course a modder can just uncap that.

I just hooked up with Cait and she does pretty good in combat but can't carry as much as Strong. Strong shoots at everything in sight with little or no accuracy and goes through ammo too quickly. I just wish they had spelled her name Kate because every time I look over at her I keep seeing Bruce Jenner.
