Anyone else getting activity on their pre-load for Fallout 4? I had it down loaded when Steam released the ok to do so. Now, I just went on Steam and I see there is activity. Any Ideas? Patch maybe?

Worried, me? Nah. Interested would be a better description.
Looked at Steam's web site and they are listing the release date as Nov 9th, yet Bethesda is still showing the 10th. With the activity that I have noticed I am leaning that Fallout 4 gets released at midnight tonight local time.

It will depend on where you live in the world. When it gets unlocked. They will patch things, or add things to the download for us to keep us from digging into the files before release, if there is an issue that is game breaking they will even patch it before the release remember the reviewers already have it and are giving feedback as they go.

HAHA yup, same kinda thoughts here.  I am a SC fan and since that game is WAY shorter I will beat that first before getting TOO into FO4 , as FO4 im sure will consume most/all of my game time for a while.
I will likely play my typical antihero/vigilante I usually play, and spend a lot of time wandering aimlessly in the desert, just seeing what bit of randomness I find out there.
I finished my preload around 9pm last Saturday through Steam, really looking forward to the game.

Thoughts so far?  I fought back OMPA (old man pass out) last night and played a few hours.

So far, so good imho.

Loving it, looks absolutely amazing so far. Have just left the vault, and she is heading out to start her rein of terror, and find who took her son.  but no problems what so ever. Running driver 358.91

Going to have to agree (although I didn't play that long :P).

It's definitely a notch (or ten) above expectations so far.

I didn't put that much time into it yet but what time I did I am really impressed. The graphics are stunning. My 770 classified is getting pushed around a little. I'll have to go in and reduce a few things.

How's the performance of the game?  How well will my 980 Ti be able to run it at 4k?

Running a single T-X and 3770k @ 4.2 at 4k and to get it to play  smooth for the most part I had to turn off AA completely,  put godrays on low (which doesn't make much difference anyway) and set shadow quality/distance to high. All else is maxed/ultra. Of course the frame rate does what it wants when it wants some times, such as tanking in a closed off corridor but peaking while looking across the waste during the day (???).

Was running great here, 100-120 FPS ,  this morning I had a game update when I started it for the first time since yesterday morning. Now getting random crashes. Not sure whats causing it yet

I haven't really checked my FPS but the few times I glanced over it was 71 or higher. All settings on Ultra at 1920x1080 144 Hz and everything is smooth. No crashes like Fallout 3 yet. It seems pretty stable to me. Once or twice I got 'stuck' and had to load a previous save to get going again. I save quite often just in case of these things.

I've been primarily playing it on the Radeon side of the fence. Not a single driver stability issue with 15.11. As with all experiences, mileage may vary.

Don't spoil the game by running it on something that can't make the grade. I'm running a 770 classy and I have a choice. Reduce some settings or buy a 980 TI SC. I am serious when I say it is worth the upgrade.
