I guess I'd better start building up Sanctuary as soon as I figure out how to craft those machine gun turrets. I'm busy helping BOS to clear out areas and collect tech.

The building tasks bring a whole different look at doing things. I am stock piling pretty much everything that has the "what it is used for".

Brad_Hawthorne My first experience of a glitch happened last night. I was encumbered moving things around in the home base. Hopped into crafting mode and the encumbered persisted after I moved things between containers. Required a restart to clear the slow walk issue. Also crafting snap-to building pieces is sub-par. The building crafting needs a mechanics design review.
Have had this happen a few times as well. As well as my pip boy suddenly not working correctly. Normal Bethesda early glitches. Not surprising. Building crafting is 'okay', but could use a bit more massaging for sure. For now, just to get things running I just put up pre-fab structures and customize as best as possible. I use the walls for border protection around the camps, but that's about it. I wish there was a way for a top down view for building crafting (can do it sort of on top of the diner at the drive in theater camp...). That would help. Too lazy to actually draw up the plan for a settlement...:P

I came across my first glitch. I placed the power module in the suit... Got in, walked around and noticed the game was still telling me I needed to install the power. SO I went back, got in and out of the suit. No luck. I walked into the aircraft and picked up the gun, wallah. No longer being told I need to install the power module.

Anyone have problems with SLI and this game? I turn SLI on, then start the game, and card one and two seem to have the same Vram, but card two stays downclocked to 135mhz (idling speed) is there just no SLI profile for it atm/runs in single card mode, or is there a bug with my set up? Edit: seems there's no profile for SLI right now for Fallout 4 and it'll run in Single GPU mode for now. I did find a guide to set up a manual SLI config (nvidia Nspector and using the SLI compatablity flag of fo3/FO:NV, + AFR2 seems to be one setting)

There is no SLI profile for it yet. Your setup is fine. Now, take a deep breath and relax.

I've found the easiest solution to blob fights is to train them right into settlement defense guns you put in place around your settlements. Have your crafting work for you. I've dealt with most of the boss fights and blob fights using this method.

Nice long distance sniper rifle and places to hide works great. Most of my take downs outside were distant shots. One thing that I really like is that one doesn't need to repair weapons from usage like it was done in FO 3. Ghouls also run in packs and will gang up on you.

I had a couple issues with the screen also at first. Now I just use the Desk Top Icon and problem solved. I think, in my case, Steam had a load issue and seems to have corrected it.

Fallout 4 did the same thing the first time I ran it after the 24.0 (well, 19.0 gb; I bought the disc version) - black screen, busy mouse pointer. Rebooted the system even though it wouldn't close, and it ran the next time. It saw my 970 SC and 5820k, and set everything to Ultra. I don't think it's dropped a frame yet; though I'm only as far as the Corvega factory...

I did it inside also. Head shots, one and done. Works slick. I have one target that for some reason I am unable to get to and the map for inside is (imho) horrible.

So I guess level scaling isn't a thing which result in being bared from exploring. Hopefully a mod corrects this. Can't wait for the building mods either,s o many possibilities.
Not my fault if you're offended.

I spent hours trying to get into that room to get the 'tech' for a BOS mission. Eventually I figured out that I needed to climb the stairs and press a red button to get the catwalk to extend.

Climb A stairs? Ok. Have you or anyone else bought the bulk packages of wood, cement, steel and other bulk items for building (supplies) and lose them? I only caught part of the message about getting it and it had something to do with the work station.

When you're on the very bottom floor of the factory walk up to the Protectron. Turn left and climb the stairs that turn to the right at the top. Walk to the end and look down at the handrail on the right and you'll see a red button to press. Until I finally noticed that I even got out of my Power Armor and tried jumping across that gap but that wasn't happening either. LOL

Thanks Zuhl for the tip. I also found my missing construction packages. It would appear that you have to wait a bit before they show up in your inventory. Glitches that I have found so far: Drinking water from a well. It will do an endless loop and is very difficult to break. I did it twice and both times the same thing. I'm playing on a PC and I do not know if this is the same for console.
