Just to let folks know, the mini Display Port works with VGA adapters.  So if you wanted to use the iGPX (iGPU) for an older monitor, you can.  Or do what I did, use the iGPX for main display and the 650Ti GPU solely for folding/crunching.
.
Advice for EVGA, for the price of the board that we paid, it would have been nice to have a mini Display Port to DVI adapter.  Not everyone has or uses a HDMI port.
.
The Z77 Stinger is still folding on for the fouth day straight.  Seems to be holding its on, but is still touchy when adjusting settings.  Change just one setting the wrong way, puff, UEFI crash.  Then I got to press the clear CMOS button and re-enter all my settings except the last one I changed.

Hey
Im tossing up whether to purchase the Stinger, I think it looks perfect for my next build.
But have a qustion regarding the bluetooth adapter specs.
What is it actually? v3.0 or v4.0?

Cheers

For what the device drivers say, it is Ver. 3.0.

Yeah. :( Do you have a powered USB hub plugged in by any chance?

I've only had 1x occurence of complete video loss.  Thou the system still seemed like it was working.  I just had to do a hard reboot and everything came back as normal.

Like I promised, I have been abusing the Z77 Stinger with folding and crunching.  So far, it seems stable and does hold a 3.8GHz overclock.  I may take it higher since it has some cooling overhead.

Dang these BIOS are touchy.  Just wanted to give the CPU a boost in speed, went from 3.8 to 4.0 and then it crashed.  CMOS reset later and re-entering all the settings again, except the last change, it works.  I think a BIOS update is needed.

ya can't overclock worth crap here either.  my shi*ty Biostar board before this ran better with its stock bios.  the stinger is a sick looking board, just hope the bios eventually lives up to the looks.
also, does anyone know what that jumper beside the cpu power connector is for? little nervous to test it out myself.

I wondered about this myself, it isn't detailed in the manual and just says "J1".

I wonder that myself when I rebuilt Quartz.  I didn't bother with it since I didn't know what it does.

The ATX mobo has a jumper that disables the lights on the mobo.  It could be that but I am not willing to try.

It would be nice if EVGA could send an email to registered owners of any BIOS updates. Or any updates to any EVGA products. That way we don't have to read a forum to check. I hope Jacob reads this.

so had a beer and fiddled with that jumper.  doesn't seem to really do anything besides prevent the board from posting.  just a leap but maybe it's some sort of diagnostic jumper?

ugh this bios is driving me nuts.  i think my girlfriend might dump me if i spend anymore time trying to tweak it.  if she dumps me, i'm blaming you EVGA.  keeping it stock for now until a bios update comes out.

I just got my Stinger board in 3 days ago and just noticed I've had this same random reboot issue as well.  Only has happened twice and can't seem to find any triggers.  Has to be something with the motherboard because I actually am using all old parts except my case and motherboard.

I've had issues with the board stop displaying to the monitor (iGPX & GPU).  But its funny, I know it is still folding through the remote PC.  A reboot resolves the issues till the next time.

Seems like there are a  lot of issues with this board.  I kept wondering why my H60 was making a humming noise all a sudden but found out from unplugging it that this board is also making some sort of whine/clicking that is rather irritating.

I have the same issue.  I made a short youtube video on the noise.

Hi!

Got also this little card, don't have the reboot issue, but i'm forced to use my RAM at stock settings (the mobo doesn't even see the XMP profiles), cuz it crashes otherwise :(. Here is my ram :

And it runs @ 1333 mhz at stock settings.

What about you guys?

I'm hoping all these issues will be cleared up with the release of an updated BIOS for this board.
I got mine a couple of weeks ago, and at first I couldn't even get it to post. A6 error message.
After many attempts and a lot of fiddling, I finally was able to install windows 7 and all necessary updates and drivers.
The system was off for a couple of days and now I can't get online with it, it says : "no networking hardware found".
Have tried installing drivers on the CD three times, no go. The EVGA website only has network drivers for Windows 8, which I think is pretty stupid.
I'll try a clean install of OS, I just hope I don't need to RMA it.

Mhhh, seems something is wrong withs the voltages :P
That's not really what it's reported in the Bios, and i'm not sure my PC would run with that kind of voltages, so do i have a driver issue?

Is evga working on these bios issues?

I'm in the process of thinking of building an ITX gaming build, and the evga ITX caught my eye, but after reading all these problems I'm hesitant about picking one up. At lease with other manufacturers they usually update their bioses across all their models. Niche manufacturers tend to forget everything but their current flag ships.

Ya, those are some funky voltages.  You may want to get a PSU voltage tester just to rule out any hardware issues with the PSU first.

Try to adjust the memory at 1600Mhz,its the only clocking to post this mobo normally, otherwise you go to 1333
