The EVGA GeForce GTX 960 delivers incredible performance, power efficiency, and gaming technologies that only NVIDIA Maxwell technology can offer. This is the perfect upgrade, offering 60% faster performance and twice the power efficiency of previous-generation cards*. Plus, it features VXGI for realistic lighting, support for smooth, tear-free NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, and Dynamic Super Resolution for 4K-quality gaming on 1080P displays.

The new EVGA ACX 2.0+ cooler brings new features to the award winning EVGA ACX 2.0 cooling technology. A Memory MOSFET Cooling Plate (MMCP) reduces MOSFET temperatures up to 11°C, and optimized Straight Heat Pipes (SHP) reduce GPU temperature by an additional 5°C. ACX 2.0+ coolers also feature optimized Swept fan blades, double ball bearings and an extreme low power motor, delivering more air flow with less power, unlocking additional power for the GPU.
 *Compared to GTX 660

I'm glad that EVGA gave the 960 early adopters a decent cooler and PCB, but the $200 960 ACX+ has a better PCB (power delivery specifically) and cooler than the $380 970 FTW.

SO, EVGA shouldn't have applied revisions to the NEW ACX coolers?

Why is every little thing that is done on a new card compared to an old one. Call it progress and be happy they are trying to make the coolers better, since they will push that tech forward. Stop complaining when they make improvements.

"Over 4x Lower Fan Power Consumption"

So the card produces power? 4X != 1/4. Please fix this!

    What on earth is a 960 vs 970/980 , a lesser model I guess?

The latest 900 series card that is less expensive and thus has a bit less raw horse power, but is still a great card for the money. Refer to the bullet points on the 900 series EVGA products page.

It has the card preoverclocked for those that don't want to overclock manually.

I just registered my 960 FTW ACX 2.0+ that came in this past week (a day before the 4GB cards were announced).

will it still stay passive until 60C ? Reason I ask is that I would like the additional performance but not at the cost of silence. Im asking about my FTW if that makes a difference.
