The links for the buy now seem broken on the article. Or at least it's not working on mobile.

Hi, Currently, the only part numbers that Microcenter has up on their site are 16G-D3-2400-MR and 08G-D3-2400-MR. As the rest appear the links will populate and link through to Microcenter. Thanks, Rob

Wonder if this will take off like the power supplies, or sink like the interview monitor.

I was actually thinking about buying some but then I noticed the whole instore deal which doesn't work good in my state... I might save $30 on RAM but I would spend $300 in gas getting to a store and back.
I just can't believe that I'm not able to order it online.... I'll get over it :(

This is more of dipping a toe in the market IMO. If its going to be a serious product line, why is there no article announcing it on the home page? You have to dig through the other product category to even locate it and there is so little information available. Even in a typical EVGA paper launch there is worlds more info and hubbub on the product.

+1 Hard to take this serious when they don't bother to match industry standard Warranty for memory modules. It will be interesting to see what hardware review sites and youtube reviewers have to say if anything about the warranty. If they talk about the RAM and don't mention the warranty, will know who the lip service reviewers are for sure.

The chip on it seem to be generic or just blur out on the article page. Got to agree that it would be nice if the RAM comes with Lifetime warranty like other brands out there.

You got to remember they are just dipping their toe into this part of the industry. What if it doesn't take hold, they abandon the product line and they don't have a way to do RMAs 5 years from now. The warranty will probably get better moving forward.

i doubt that if they drop it they wouldn't support it.Completely goes against all previous items they have sold. They could and can offer a market standard warranty .Then can always get memory from a vendor now or 10 yrs from now,or offer evga cash.I cant think of a valid excuse that makes sense to offer a warranty that is so COMPLETELY sub par to the current market. It puts a huge shadow on any purchase when a retailer will not offer the industry standard warranty on the same product. As a buyer that would be a HUGE red flag to me and would/does drive me to other retailers .

Are there any pics of the top of the RAM? I only see the sides. Also, hurry up and sell at other sites or at least hurry up Microcenter and offer for shipping and not just in-store only.

Bio, dont get me wrong, I agree with you. Im just saying for a 1st push into a new arena, caution is not a bad thing. Look at EVGA In-D-Tube, or Killer NIC or UV+. Yes they have kept UV+ going but barely. The others are long gone and there were some lifetime warranty skus. Taking the long view, yes, they should get to some kind of better warranty, 10 years or lifetime maybe. But its just too new for them I think. Also if you look closely, these are a new warranty suffix that isn't even on the EVGA Warranty page yet. Being that its its own suffix, if the market takes off, the cold possibly retroactively increase the warranty to something higher if they wanted to.

The warranty suffix is listed on the EVGA warranty page... - EVGA System Memory with the part number extension –MR carries a 3 year limited warranty from the original date of purchase.

Starting out you dont want to be a obvious 2ed rate memory option by offering a poor warranty, its like a death wish on launch to say hey we would like you to buy our brand but we wont support it warranty wise as well as your other options. Im not sure why ,but this from everything ive ever learned is a huge blunder to open a product with. Openly saying you dont stand behind your product as well as your competition is a massive shot to your own head when the race starts .

- Warranty Support can be obtained from Microcenter directly within this warranty time frame. Please contact your local store if warranty support is required. Technical Support is available at 1-888-881-3842 option 1 or by email at support@evga.com
- http://www.evga.com/support/warranty/
Does that mean if a customer needs to submit a RMA on EVGA memory sold only at Microcenter, they have to visit local Microcenter for warranty support. If the end-user moves away from a Microcenter or if a Microcenter closes down near you, it will make the warranty worthless.

Hey guys. A week ago I purchased the 16GB DDR4 2800MHz SSC memory kit for an x99 build I was doing. I didn't even know EVGA started doing RAM until my friend who works at MicroCenter told me. They didn't even have the memory on display, and it took my guy about 10 minutes to track down where it was. I didn't know the warranty was only 3 years at the time of purchase and that sucks. I probably would have spent the extra $30 and went with Corsair had I known that. Doesn't make sense to offer a sub-par warranty. It would be nice if they offer a free warranty extension or at least low cost ($10 for lifetime) to make the memory modules more competitive with other brands. I build a lot of systems and although my experience with this memory so far has been awesome (like with every EVGA product I've owned) I'm disappointed in the warranty provided. I think EVGA really needs to step up to the plate on this one, especially if they expect us too. Sorry EVGA, but you're going to have to give us a reason to switch from Corsair, G. Skill, or Kingston, and a 3-year warranty isn't the answer.

You could always return the memory and let Microcenter know how you feel about the sub-par warranty. They might wave any restocking fee if you purchase other memory from them.
