anyone at EVGA know how the audio on the Dark compares to the new audio card?

The NU Audio on the motherboards is not related to the NU Audio Card released today. Different components, and (regarding the motherboard version) only accessible through the front panel ports. From my own personal testing, the audio is improved compared to many onboard motherboard audio, but the NU Audio card is several levels above the motherboard solution; not dissimilar to a Graphics card compared to onboard audio.

As I've been told, the hole is for diagnostic and engineering purposes. We've had other motherboards with the same sort of hole in that area of the socket. The Visual Guide / Bench Table is a PCB, albeit with all the copper/metals removed. It's used as the base for an open-air benching station, and you use the included tall standoffs to mount the motherboard.

Yes, there is no RGB support or headers on Z390 DARK and X299 DARK boards.
RGB-functionality on DIMMs would work as expected, though.

Thanks! I meant to ask if Z390 Dark powers up iGPU including acceleration, I think Z390 FTW for example doesn't provide iGPU power and has no quicksync support, but I might be mistaken. Would you be able to provide that information?

Theres no extra software for it, u just gotta search wifi settings in the cortana thingy.
Usb shoulda had a driver on it. I just screwed the antennas on for you n it had no issues

there is a really small USB included in the box that has all the drivers and a program to install them all, the manual is also inside
aka the EVGA tag looking thing thats likely taped to the inside of the box when you first open it not the silver case badge but the small black tag with EVGA logo looking one
I thought it was a sticker or a keychain at first it was so small, there should also be a label on the little baggy that says Z390 Dark USB

- Design
- angled connectors
- ATX12 connectors next to ATX 24pin
- only 2 RAM-Slots for better performance and cleaner look
- gigantic VRM heatsink
Cons
- PS/2 in 2019??? why no floppy port for BIOS-Update :-) The step back from EVGA to PS/2 is very sad. I dislike legacy connectors.
- U.2 is dead in mainstream market, so why?
- why an extra USB 3.1 Gen2 controller, the Z390 has enough ports
- why Creative onboard, those drivers get rarly updates and are neither very good
- a that price point, a 10 GBit Intel X550 NIC would appropriate instead of 2 1GBit NICs
- in times of M.2 PCIe SSDs, why 2 extra SATA ports?
- why is the HD Audio connector the only non angled on the entire board?
- Mini-DP connector? why no normal DP / HDMI ports?
In the one hand, the Z390 Dark is "reduced to the max", on the other hand, its got unnecessary features and some inconsistencies.

As to the PS2 port - obviously you have not seen any of the LN2 OC stuff, if you get the temsp low enough USB stops responding - the PS2 port is for those guys. I guess this board is not for you then
