I am not even considering purchasing one of these but programs like this is the reason I keep buying EVGA products.

So many companies now days give the best promotions to new customers while doing nothing for the loyal one's. Nice to see EVGA doesn't follow this trend.

Very nice promotion, that's why I continue to buy EVGA every time I can.
I'll be pleased to upgrade my Nu Audio, unfortunatly i'm in Europe so I have the same question as above (but for France):

Thanks again for your products and your customer support/loyalty programs.

Do not step up to this card. I am one of the first owners of the card. It does not work. It suffers from the same "init error 1x0001" that many owners of the non pro card have as well. Only one driver exists for the Pro card, so you have no option to use a different driver. I have owned the card one day, and I got a total of 2 hours of sound out of it. It has not worked since, no matter how many times I install the drivers. EVGA needs to fix this garbage. The drivers are complete trash, and totally broken. I have attempted to install the drivers at least 8 times now, and all it does on reboot is say the same damn "init error 1x0001", asking for the driver to be reinstalled. I am completely pissed off, and this card was a waste of money.

I got mine and it sounds incredible and is the best I have ever owned!

Used it for a few days now!

You should contact EVGA Support and have them help you set it up properly.

It is not a set up issue. The card has already been proven defective. I have an RMA for a defective sound card happening now.

Well I can tell you this is not a wide spread issue as in all cards are defective as you seem to have implied. Glad to hear you contacted EVGA support👍

The Good News is, soon you will be up and enjoying your card!

Have you tried the just updated drivers?

    EVGATech_LeeM
Hi Everyone, here's the latest driver for the NU Audio Card.  This fixes driver crashes when switching from DSD playback.  There are other issues we are currently working on, but this is what we have today.
    Release Notes (v0.2.1.5):
    • Updates firmware to 0x31
    • Fixes Audio crash after DSD playback

Let us know what you think, or if you run into any issues.  If you are using an older version of Windows and are running into one of these issues, please let me know and I will look into it.  However, please only request this if you are experiencing these issues.

Who are you talking to ? I already have a thread where I was discussing the issues with my Nu Audio Pro 7.1. The drivers and firmware you just put up are for the Nu Audio non pro card. My card was already proven to be defective in the analog section. Again, it is not a user issue. The card I got is defective.

I have my card registered but the upgrade page tells me
YOU HAVE NO QUALIFIED REGISTERED PRODUCTS

Then when I go to try and register it again, it says my card is already registered. I bought the card January 21, 2019 am I not eligible for the upgrade?

    Sorry Danny,
thought it was for the 7.1 my bad.

I guess I just didn't appreciate you attacking EVGA on these forums as in causing them damage and potential loss of sales on the new 7.1 sound card. You could of waited until after you worked with EVGA support and completed the RMA process before you acted out here.

Kinda childish if you ask me.

I did not attack anyone. I just stated that I was dissatisfied with the fact that I got a defective card. However, I did use foul language in my original post. I should not have done that.

    Danny,
I think when you say/write/post things like waste of money, garbage, complete trash, and totally broken...
to me, this sounds like an attack to EVGA brand to me.

I've 'enrolled' in the Step-Up program for the EVGA NU Audio Pro 7.1 a few days ago but before I send my NU Audio card back I would like to know if it will be denied for physical damage (I guess it will but I does not hurt to ask!).

When I first connected the SATA power connector, a small portion of the L shaped bracket broke-off. It was carefully glued back (it did work but I thought it would be best to have it 'repaired' to avoid mechanical stress on the connector).

To be clear, I'm not saying the card was received damaged. I did installed countless SATA devices over the years without issues, but I guess there is a first for everything!

Sorry for potentially dumb question I have the original Nu audio card and I am considering the upgrade offered. I agree with others on this forum that this is a good program thanks EVGA!! My concern or question is will the new pro card decode 5.1 multi channel DSD files natively on the DAC?  This would be the only reason I would have to upgrade to this new card. The original Nu audio card I purchased is a great card for all my other music and gaming requirements.

Hey I had the same issue with my card and I contacted the customer care. When I rechecked my registered card details, I found that I accidentally put my date of purchase as 1/16/2018 instead of 1/16/2019. I requested the customer care agent to change the date and once he changed it, I could find the upgrade page. So, I suggest you to please check your registration details and contact the customer care. Even if you cannot find any mistakes, they will be able to help you upgrade. The upgrade program is for Nu Audio cards, purchased first hand from any official vendors.

Great step-up program once again from EVGA, not aware of any other manufactures that do this!

I would be all over this if the pro had a front panel connector. I find it really useful when I am gaming to be able to use my gaming headset via the front headphone/mic jacks. I can leave my Planars connected to the rear 1/4 and then override whenever I want to game by plugging into the front.  Unplug from front and the rear headphone jack kicks in. Truly, could not have asked for a more perfect solution!

Will it be ok if somebody has swapped in better op amps? I will put it back to stock of course. Just want to make sure before I start the process and I don't want to be dishonest. So much of that in the world today.

EDIT: Wait I am a bit confused about this card. I am strictly high end headphones. Is the 7.1 only if you are using speakers? Would I see any benefit? I use Burson V6 vivid op amps in all my gear as a side note if that makes any difference.

Same question as other EU customers. Will the offer be extended to European (this time UK) customers? Thanks.

If you are only using headphones, you'd probably want the NU Audio Pro (AN11) only.  No harm in getting the Pro 7.1 (AN21), but if you don't plan on using multi-channel speakers then the daughterboard will not do anything for you.  I do feel the headphone experience is improved with the Pro card.  One of our CS reps tested recently and also came to the same conclusion.  The change in op-amps isn't the only change to the card, as it has a different power design and capacitors in-line with the line-out/headphone out.  Port impedance is also slightly lower on the NU Audio Pro than the original NU Audio (both are still extremely low, however).

Is there a stock issue for this promo? It's been pretty quiet.

Right with vxpulse here. I submitted my upgrade as soon as this started and I haven't heard anything yet. Any updates?
