I assumed LV's pics were from the Micro, maybe not?  My initial thought was that this feature was only available to the higher end boards as Molten pointed out.

I still haven't had the opportunity to verify this on my micro, although I expect that as Molten mentioned it will be soldered.

I did a review on this motherboard for Jacob, and here is a picture from the exact board I did the review on.  We have done a few reviews on eVGA x58 boards and have yet to see one that does NOT have the removable BIOS chip.  It's right there between the two PCI-e slots, the one with the small white sticker on it..... which by the way normally has the BIOS version the chip is flashed with.  The BIOS chip is not soldered......
