I just upgraded from win7 to Windows 10 last week, every time i open up firefox, it doesn't remember the browser window location that i want. It leaves small gap on the left side and the bottom when not in full screen mode. Anyone else have this issue or know a fix for it?

I don't think it's a firefox problem but a windows issue. If i try to move the browser window UP (out of the screen), a box appears which seems to have a small offset (the gap on the left and bottom). I can't figure out how to adjust that offset that limits how far windows can open to.

I don't think it's just the FF browser window that's like that. Sometimes while gaming I'll have the monitoring graph (MSI AB) opened on my 2nd display. If I try to stretch it to the very edge, it won't open the same next time. If I leave just a bit of space around the edges, it opens fine...

My guess is they made it that way for tablet mode. I wish i knew what it's called so i could look for a tweak for it online.

I just turned my Windows 10 PC on for the first time in several weeks. I got one big update that changed the build number / version. I use Firefox and couldn't produce that problem before or after installing the updates. I am using FXChrome appearance addon along with AdBlockPlus. No other addons except for Battlelog launcher and Adobe Flash.

Are you able to exit/open firefox without having a gap on the left and bottom (not in full screen mode). The transparent (Aero Snap) box is like 1-2mm off from all around the edge of the monitor. You can see the Aero Snap box if you try to drag a browser off screen.

One site said to use winaerotweaker, but i still have the gap on the left and bottom (not in full screen mode). I will have to live with it for now, no luck finding a fix/tweak for it.

I don't go full screen like you do. I was able to make the gap a bit smaller by messing around with winaerotweaker. Advanced Appearance Settings>Window Borders Border Width 1 (can't set to 0) Border padding 0 Advanced Appearance Settings> Window Title Bars Window title bar height 12 Apply changes and reboot system

What do you do? Drag it to one side and let it 'Snap' to half screen?

My browser takes up over half of my (1080p) screen, the other half i have steam friends or other software showing. Why look at wasted space on the side of the forums or webpages with black boxes on the side.

MSim, show us what the window looks like restored (floating on the desktop). Take a couple of screenshots with different applications open as well.

Here's what it looks like after i move it to where i want it, close FireFox and open it back up. Look at the left side and the bottom (ignore the right side). The top has a little bit of red showing too.

Is it the actual program shortcut or did you drag a webpage to your desktop? If it's the latter, they have a tendency to do that.
