I have a few questions for you folks what are your opinions on the tray? is it stong? does everything line up? and an important question answer i'm looking for is does it have the 12th hole for the hidden standoff the SR-2 can possibly use? I'm starting to seriously look at getting this tray due to having everything securly mounted yet open for swap-outs and TSing problems Thanks all

I have it. Works great! Nice and solid. I would get it again no question about it!

Honestly I think it sucks. It is flimsy, the screw holes block easy access to screws to hold in the PCIe cards. I saw this one posted on XS today. It looks fantastic. Just wish it was around 6 months ago when I needed it. http://cgi.ebay.com/Mothe...9c471b4#ht_1022wt_1139

I also have it. I would give it a B-. It is fairly solid. It holds my SR-2 loaded with 4 video cards and waterblocks on everything. My one gripe is the holes. It might just be mine but the holes in the corner near the SATA connectors seem to be off my a few mm's. If I used those screw holes it looked like the board was warped slightly. I just used an adhesive standoff in that corner to support the board.

The MM tray is made from very good aluminum. It is solid for a try with nothing supporting it but screws. That said, I made support brackets for mine.

Dragin, When MM modified the tray to add stiffness by folding all the edges down by ~ 3/8", that helped a lot with the flimsy feel from what I can tell. My SR-2 tray is rigid enough with that design change. I will say that I too saw a slight amount of mis-alignment between the SR-2 and the MM Tray standoff holes. But it wasn't such that I felt the board had to be warped or anything, just a little tighter fit than I would have liked to see. Bottom-line, I had no significant issues with my MM tray and love the horizontal placement that it affords me in my MM case. I have no idea what the "hidden 12th standoff hole" is all about. I used every hole on my SR-2 that I could see. What is the significance of that hidden hole?

Hello One guy complained about it in horizontal position in the MM extended ascension. It can curves a little bit because of the CPU waterblock weight. MM's technical staff suggest to ad an addtional support for free. It was at the begining when the SR2 has just gone out. I don't know now if they redesigned it or not.

thanks for you info with them folding down the edges to help out with the flimsey issues ... yes the SR-2 does come with 11 standard standoff locations but there is a 12th hole under the stock chipset heatsin fan that is visable when used with an EK waterblock and would like support in the middle of the board as well since the board is so big and want as much support for it as it possible. here is a picture of what i'm refering to ... the holes circled in Red is the ones you can see from the top ... the one in Green is the one that is hiding under the chipset fan assembly some may consider it insignificant but i'm a stickeler for want to give this $600 motherboard all the support I can :)

Dragin, I looked under my MM SR-2 tray and it is kinda hard to see, but I can make out standoff mounting thread hole in the general location of where you indicated. I'm not using it, but it appears there is something in that same area (the hidden standoff) on my tray. I compared your image to one of the MM Tray (via their website) and have circled what I believe to be that location on the MM Tray. IMO, the "hidden standoff" is not functionally necessary to proper mounting of the SR-2, but maybe there is a use for it that I don't know. Here's the image that I put together:

You can also call the folks at MM to clear up any questions. I had lots of questions about their products before I purchased from them and got every one answered over the phone. Have fun!
