Hi, i am new to these forums and i just wanted to put my PC out on this forums to see what you guys think about this. I am not done yet, and i still have more plans to come (January). I have not bought alot of stuff to the computer yet, but i will in January, when it is a big sale on PC parts. I am also not a "professional" when it comes to PC building. I am quite a fan of Corsair and EVGA , just so you know ^^ You can post what you think could be better, what you think was good/bad and whatever you feel for. Some of the parts are: Intel 920 i7 Quad Qore 2,66Ghz Nvidia GeForce 230 8Gb DDR3 RAM 3TB Hard drive Acer Fx58m (Motherboard) Plans for new parts are: EVGA X58 Motherboard (Need to overclock) EVGA GeForce 660ti FTW Signature edition 2 Corsair H40 Hydro Watercooler Corsair (Midi-Tower Case) Corsair Fans The link to my newest build is http://bit.ly/Y0w1HW

That looks pretty sweet actually, I really like the window and the lighting. Should be a pretty sweet rig after the upgrades. You should make sure that your mobo has the same mounting holes as a normal non OEM motherboard when you go to buy a waterblock. Also you may want to consider trying to find a EVGA X58 micro so you can take advantage of your watercooling when you get it and overclock. Looks pretty sweet!

I have added the motherboard to the list of parts. And one more question, if you can answer it : ) When i go to BIOS in my computer, and there i can't change the clock rate of the processor. It's kind of not available. A friend did it for me last time, and i want to lower the rate so the temperature in the cores stay "cold"/normal. I am thinking about going to 3,8 or 3,2Ghz.

Not gonna happen on that motherboard. Even though it's possible that board is a generic Foxconn manufactured motherboard (a lot of OEM's use them as their supplier) it has a locked down BIOS so you cant do any overclocking. You'll need to buy an aftermarket X58 motherboard if you want to overclock. The problem is that the X58 platform has long since been discontinued so you'll likely have to buy a used motherboard keeping in mind that it needs to be mATX where as most of them will be the full size ATX since this is considered an enthusiast platform. If you want to go ATX you'd need a bigger case.

EVGA still has X58 motherboards for sale. You can find one here: http://www.evga.com/Produ...aspx?pn=141-GT-E770-A1 But of course this is a full sized motherboard so you would need a chassis that can support it blacksapphire08 Cpt. I figured that buying so many parts would cost so much money, that i could buy a new PC. So in a couple of days, i will buy my brother's computer which costed 4500$ at its release, but now its 3 years old, and im buying it for 2000$ dollars. I will make a new topic with that computer and then i will kind of leave this computer. I will post the link to it here when i have created the new topic.
