Installing the chipset drivers should install the audio drivers as well. So make sure you have done this.

Have tried that, found a post indicating there was a previous issue with sp's.

This is a clean install, nothing unneccessary trying to eliminate issue.

Have nothing to install but XP Pro sp2, issue stated was sp1 going to sp3.

Shows up as "unknown pci device" first.

After load of driver the show's up as "audio device on high definition audio bus"

Have used driver from   1.mb cd,    2.fresh download from evga    3.realtek

I'm missing something simple i believe.

    Appreciate your help!!!

    Solved.

    1. When initial OS load device shows up as "unknown pci device"

    2. Load driver on cd or web site device shows up as "audio device on high definition audio bus"

    3. Do microsoft selective update choosing hardware option.

    4. Let it load suggested hdw rl tk update.

    5. Device will still have red mark in device mangler.

    6. Update driver browsing to WDM folder, it should recognize and load final piece.

what do you mean when you say

    3. Do microsoft selective update choosing hardware option.

    4. Let it load suggested hdw rl tk update.

    5. Device will still have red mark in device mangler.

    6. Update driver browsing to WDM folder, it should recognize and load final piece.

I'm surprised no one noticed he's posting in the wrong section
I just can't see how ppl keep confusing the Geforce with the Nforce
One is labeled Graphics cards and the other is labeled motherboards
