I'd personally wait.  Even at "MSRP" video cards are overpriced but if you got the money and need, go for it!

I have a 1440p monitor.  A lot of games I can't get to hit 144fps.  Rest of system is brand new, and now my bottleneck is my you.  Thinking get a 1080ti off here.  Sell the 1070 for a decent price and cut a lot of my losses that way.

I still game quite a bit with all the new titles.  I just hate seeing my good monitor not being taken advantage of. And I'm too much of a snob to turn sown settings to get more fps.

Cool thing about Stephen Hawking, he was suppose to die within two years of his diagnosis of his rare disease yet he lives a little more than 50 years longer.
