Hey all,

Just got my .1 swapped via Adv RMA to a 1.0 (had issues with New World and power delivery).

Before I put this card under water, I put it in the system and tested it real quick with a couple custom Firestrike Extreme runs. Am I to assume that I shouldn't expect 500w on air? Right now with Bios switch on board set to "OC" and X1 set to +210mhz on core, Voltage = 100, Power = 119, Temp 91, GPU-z shows max of 477w pulled.

Since its on Air, card temp peaked at 86 degrees. So I am thinking I am getting Thermal Throttled and won't see that 500w until I put my block on it?

Or should I be see 500w on air? PCIe voltage though now shows right and shows 67w.

Have you tried setting the fans to 100% during the benchmark? That may mitigate any potential thermal throttling.

I also received an RMA replacement recently but it was still a Rev 0.1 card (first one popped during New World). However, this one is hitting 500w, on air, in Port Royal no problem (GPU-Z to monitor).

I left fans on Auto I think.... Been a long time since I have been on air LOL. Let me try max fans and run Port Royal and see what happens... I'll be back..

flash to 94.02.42.80.27 and get 500w

Ya reading back a few pages, it looks like my card arrived with C02 or something like that, and people saying they flashed to those and all worked. Might try that later today.

Sorry little ones took over my night yesterday. Tried Port Royal and actually got lower power usage ~430-450w. Going to do a full DDU removal again of drivers and install the latest ones (came out today) just to get new fresh drivers on again.

Here is what my new 1.0 card did when I got it. I consistently hit 500+ watts on VBIOS 94.02.42.C0.02. This is on air with fans at 100% in my case and on the GPU:

Well I received my new card today. Serial # 2114. What a difference! I am seeing max board draw of 507.8w with only 66.6w on the PCIE bus! That was just with port royal. Haven't ran time spy extreme yet. Before I touched the card overclock wise, I got a 502.3w board draw. This was just with the BIOS switch in the OC position. I am getting much better scores with way lower overclocks now. The chip in my new card doesn't seem to be quite as good as my original 2014 card, but it scores higher and performs better at lower clocks. So all in all I am extremely happy! With my old card I would struggle to get over 450w board draw with 87+w PCIE draw... Hopefully this will ease some minds of people on the fence about doing the special RMA. The BIOS loaded on this card is different than the newest one I flashed to my old card just last week. The new BIOS on the new card is 94.02.42.C0.02. The newest BIOS I loaded on the old card was 94.02.42.80.27.

I got an offer to buy a new FTW3 3090. Are they solely sending v1.0s now?

I have an original 3090 FTW3 Ultra with the red lips. Should I not install the XOC bios on the first page of this thread? A bit confused by some of the posts and I can't read through all 200 pages.
