Hi everyone,

We have an update regarding the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 ULTRA (24G-P5-3987-KR). If you have this specific card and are using the XOC BIOS BETA update and not seeing ideal overclocking results please send an email to 3090OC@evga.com for more details. Please make sure your card is registered first, and if you have screenshots of your max wattage under load and list of applications/games used this will help as well when emailing.

Thanks,
EVGA

Hi Jacob.

Amazing customer service, glad my call got passed on. I'll be emailing ASAP in a second.

Looks like they might be doing semi-tailored VBIOS updates from Jacob's message?

Better late than never but this is really, really late.

Good luck to anyone pursuing a fix, I have long since given up and returned for a refund.

What is the difference between (24G-P4-3987-KR) and (24G-P5-3987-KR)? I have the second one and don't know if it is the same card.

E-mailed right away with results. GPU-Z results showing PCI-E out of spec, 500W BIOS only using 400W, scores being super low in Heaven 4 (which is confirmed to take 500W GPU power in any other test) and other examples from games and so on. System should be defo pushed since resolution is 5120x1440 and 2560x1440 as well and there is no difference.

EDIT: I got the P5, but I got massive issues as well.

Hi folks, could some kind soul please point me towards how I test / demonstrate the power balance issue? 3090 FTW3 non ultra here.

Open GPU-Z and run Heaven 4 whilst power and voltage sliders in MSI Afterburner are cranked to 100% and beyond. Then see total GPU power usage in GPU-Z sensors page.

I tried to benchmark my PC in TimeSpy my 10980XE at 5.2Ghz is getting almost 20000 CPU score which is a lot higher than TEC cooled 10900K by about 2000 points but GPU (FTW3 Ultra 3090) is pulling me down. If it could use all the power and stabilise it's clocks I'd been much much higher in the table.

Copy that.
Here are the results from 15 - 20 min averages: Are we seeing the issue here or do I need to install a 500W bios to really see it? (Ran out of image upload quota for the rest of the sensor pics)
