In port royal i score 14250 with my ftw3 ultra out of the box on air and its a normal score for the normal bios on this card with the switch at oc position. No need any other things. 
 
 If you do something to increase really then you will get a score at around 15 000 in port royal so dont talk your card is super performing with a normal score of 14 300. That's it dude.

Out-of-the-box my ftw3 ultra was much less than 14.2k with the OC switch, and with the 500w bios posted in the first post of this thread. It is highly watt limited under those situations, which is something that is being discussed on this thread frequently. Furthermore, 14.3 is higher than 96% of results on 3dmark. Stop being delusional, ignorant, and rotten to other posters who are posting their experience about flashing different bioses for the benefit of other people who may be considering doing the same. You can't post anywhere to help anyone without being randomly attacked.
 
Update: Got 14516 in PR on air with the stock cooler. I'm pretty sure that's a good score without going to water cooling. CPU is an i9-7900X and the best result with that CPU and a 3090 is 15325.

The point of the post was to let people know that if they are watt limited with the official bios (drawing ~360 instead of 500), that flashing a different bios can help as others have stated.

Nobody said the card was "super performing". That is called a straw man, deliberately lying about things people didn't say, and attacking them for no reason.

After having the 6800XT i decided to switch to 3090 model.
I know the quality of EVGA in the past, that why i would get one at least once.
Just after buying the the 3090 FTW3 Ultra, I investigate on it (don't why i do that after buying lool), and when i see this thread, i was nervous.
As i took notice of this thread just some minutes after my buy, i could cancel it and take the MSI Prime X 3090 which was available for less 100euros on same store.
 
But... I decided to see ... and .... 493W on air cooling.
OC RAM +850 GPU +155 works without crash.

Yeah mine works great with the 500w bios as well! Constantly stays above 470w in benchmarks and gaming. I don't know why some people are having issues with the FTW3 XOC bios and some are not.
