STILL no official word from EVGA that an updated VBIOS is even being considered? This is unreal.

How much over would be allow-able in your opinion? I see mine getting close to 77watts running 3DMark (board pulling around 460watts max with the OC bios). Thanks in advance.

Yours sounds fine.  If it were 395w board draw on the OC bios and pulling 77w while hitting power limit I'd be worried.

Thanks.

I see PerfCap Reason hit power, and sometimes VRel, VOp (have even seen Therm as a reason once... and this is a hybrid..?) in GPU-Z when running 3DMark..

Should that be a concern?

So i have still found that the xc3 bios are still the best for over clocking, but has anyone else tested using aurous OC engine over afterburner to get more accurate fan control with xc3 bios?

I found an annoying but accurate way to control fans with AB, if you set the fan percent on the main screen, it’ll jump to what it’s actually using and show you. So I wanted 80 I had to run 86% if I want 70% plug in 79% to AB, 55% actual is 69% in AB 50% is 65. It’ll run it correctly it’s just off. Since 100% does reach 100% rpm speed, any number you want is attainable.

thanks for the reply! that does make sense, i did notice the fan number dropping after setting. I would prefer to run my fans at 100% all the time but i could settle at 95%. The only other issue i noticed though, is when playing gta V, I had my overlay on to monitor my fan rpm, and it would go from 3000 rpm to 2500, to 2700, 2800, than spike to 6000, than back to 3000 and repeating. I verified with my eye balls that all fans are actually running, but couldnt tell with the weird rpm charts if my fan speeds are actually going up and down than spiking. But it could be a bit concerning when it spikes the rpm like that on the overlay if it is actually spiking power the fans in real time as this may cause excessive wear if this is the case but i couldnt verify. if the aurous engine seems to make the fans stable, I could just switch to that and port over my same OC from AB. But i guess if no one else ends up having input on this, I may just have to try to test my self XD

I do clearly remember when first flashing this bios that I could hit 500W power draw. That was probably 4 nvidia driver updates ago. Now that I've mounted my waterblock I've noticed that the gpu is reluctant to go beyond 400W. Lots of games will drop the voltage down far below 1000mV, even though I'm only pulling like 390W and running at 32C. Even when I'm way below the power limit, HWinfo still says the performance limiter is power limit.

When trying to restore the original BIOS I'm getting this error "No display adapters were found that are compatible with this update."

I'm on an EVGA hybrid ftw3 ultra hybrid. I flashed to the new OC BIOS linked here. however, I want to restore the stock bios due to hard crashes while playing Warzone.

What do you recommend?

Hi Guys,

What would happen if I flash the XC3 BIOS on my FTW3 ULTRA and PX1 wants to update the firmware of the MCU? Have some of you updated the firmware after flashing the XC3 BIOS?
Could I afterwards flash back to the FTW3 ULTRA BIOS and PX1 then updates the MCU firmware again?

Reason: Since I installed PX 1.1.4 and my MCU firmware was updated to 2.01.15, I have been experiencing FAN3 issues. I want to flash to the XC3 BIOS, update the MCU firmware, flash back to FTW3 ULTRA BIOS and update the firmware of the MCU again and see what happens.

Thanks in advance
:)
