I originally had it that way and it does have that neat look, but I like the "XI" look. Favorite Jordans are the 11s.

Yes can confirm the offsets will definitely be different on xc3 bios vs  xoc bios. On xoc, i could go +135 core stable in all games, on xc3 bios, could only go about +100. But like the gentlemen said, its not the sliders that matter, its the actual ingame clock your looking at. With xoc bios, i couldnt get it to stop bouncing power limit and my clocks would keep jumping from 1920 to 2040 depending on the game. With xc3 bios, i dialed in my clock with setting a fixed undervolt, and now my clock stays at 2025mhz in all games under high temp and doesnt bounce anymore. If you want the most benefit out of the xc3 bios, you have to undervolt the card about and keep just under that power limit! If u try undervolting with the xoc bios, the clock you are going to settle for to avoid powerlimiting will be terrible compared to xc3 bios! I can also confirm which has been previously stated, if you roll off the memory over clock abit, it also helps prevent hitting the power limit. So if the difference for an example between +700 mem and +800 mem is only a few points in 3d mark, might as well go with the lower one to help avoid the power limit! I can also confirm furmurk is doo doo. use 3d mark or real in game charts. cheers!

my results on xc3 bios.
Offset max stable is +112 on core and + 750 now on ram. I could do more but core on 200 crashes fast, on 150 crashes after few minutes, on 125 crashes after 5 minutes, on 112 until now no crashes.

Ram frequency is (10500 mhz) so 21 ghz
Gpu frequency 2.1 ghz

Let me know what you think

I installed the Hybrid Kit and I'm hitting 30 on idle. I reused the cross-brace with the stock gpu screws. I also used Artic MX4 instead of the pre-applied thermal paste on the block. I swapped out the fans for Noctua chromax and offloaded them onto the MOBO instead. Cleaning off the old thermals was a pain, but got it done with 90% Iso Alc with a microfiber towel and brush. Compress air to dry it all up.

Yes I even see guys with the EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra Hybrid factory and they have very high temps. So you think that using the stock cross plate tightens it better? About the thermal compound yes I can imagine it will be a pain, and I agree to replace the stock thermal compound that comes witht the AIO.

Thank You, Happy New Year!!!

I have a 3090 FTW3 Ultra Hybrid and I was hitting 60-65c during heavy gaming. So I opened the card up and replaced the stock paste with Thermal Grizzly Kyronaut and now I’m getting 45-52c most of the time. Cyberpunk is the only game so far where I start hitting the high 50’s. I also ended up using the EVGA radiator fans that came with it as they perform extremely well. Originally had replaced them with Corsair ML120’s but they weren’t cutting it for me.

3090 FTW3 Ultra here. Installed Hybrid kit a couple days ago. 100% stock thermal pads / paste. I wanted to install it "the way EVGA intended" to get a baseline before mods. And I'm happy with it, mostly. GPU temps dropped around 15-20C overall, so I'm happy with that. I would recommend the hybrid kit. I've used the stock thermal compound but will probably try some other stuff later just to see what kind of difference it makes.

What I'm not happy with is the thermal pads for PWR and MEM, some of them were not properly aligned during manufacturing and I'm almost certain that one of the thermal pads is too thin / not making contact, which would help explain why my PWR and MEM temps are always so high. I'll be diving back in at a later date to correct these.

For now, watching ICX3, MEM chips are by far the hottest, running into the 70C range. Cranking the onboard fan helps a a lot, but I'd still like to see more efficient heatsinks to keep everything thermally balanced before pushing more air on it. Will probably experiment with providing additional backplate cooling too.

Great potential with this card, hoping to see updated XOC BIOS soon and a fix for the fan/RGB controller (fan speed spikes).

Glad to hear that works fine for you, ask you can see mostly all are reporting 70C on some parts, a thing that my Stock Air Card reaches with fans at 77% gaming only if i Increase Scale of the game (some games allow this others not) in my case I reported this some posts back with Homefront The Revolution, using 1.25x with ALL Ultra and 3440x1440. Did you put the TGK on both the base of the cooler and the die or only on the die?

Cheers, Sergio!

From what I understand you didn't use the Thermal Pads from the Kit but just left the card like it was with the residues of Thermal Compound and its own Thermal Pads and installed the kit like that?
