When they release a non-beta or another beta version of the XOC, do they start a new thread or do they addend the original post and notify people following the thread?

You're assuming they even will release another version  I'm not so confident considering this mess they've got into.

Yes, I updated to YOC BIOS and I would like to test the previous installed BIOS version 94.02.26.48.15 and 94.02.26.48.16. Unfortunately both versions are not available for download at techpowerup :-(

Check the "non-verified" postings. Might be on there. I backed up my Stock OC BIOS for Hybrid FTW3 i can send if you need it.

Wow - thanks for that info! I found both BIOS versions - thanks!

so i ran vf curve tuner in precision and my card reached 480.5w when running port royal i was never able pas 450
at 464 iwas at 2085mhz so it does not see to need all the full 500w to get over 2ghz. didnt see what the speed was at 480 because my stupid *! didnt turn on logging. so maybe its software releated?

I believe those are the default bios’s, .15 and .16, for the ultra listed on page 1.

Ok, so is the solution to just run the XC3 bios? All I care about is great game performance, not benchmarking. Which exact bios do I install, and is it just a simple flash? No ill effects?

Solution? It is kind of one. You can't use newer versions of precision X unless you delete the MCU firmware updates in the installation folder, or just press no each time you load up precision x. I'll effects? Increased power draw = increased heat. My card would get up to 78C GPU temp on air, but now only gets to 64C with the hybrid kit. Also, for my cards (even the RMAd one), the fans would wind down then back up at 100% under load. That's why I've offloaded the radiator fans to a separate fan controller.

My PR scores were much higher on XC3 BIOS as well but I went back to stock for now.

How do you know how much power the card is drawing on XC3 with the power monitors broken?

I really wonder if it is safe to run this XC3 BIOS on the FTW3 Hybrid long term. I'm high on the list for a KP for the second list, I'm wondering if I should just trade up to that or if it would be worth it with the XC3 BIOS. Not a big benchmarker, just want max FPS in games.

How do I know? I've got an UPS that tells me the power being drawn from the wall, and a titanium PSU for the conversion %. Just gotta do a little math to get a ballpark number.

Is it safe? Don't see why not. It's not an unlocked VBIOS, just a VBIOS that gets the PCIE power draw down into the 60W range and therefor doesn't power throttle like mad. All the HDMI and DP ports work fine as well, unlike other 2-pin VBIOSs.

If you aren't a big benchmarker (I read that as overclocker too), getting a kingpin would be a waste of money. You'd be better off getting an actual XC3 because the performance won't be much different from the stock numbers of both that I've seen. If you do plan on overclocking, the Kingpin will be superior since it had better cooling and a voltage tool not compatible with other cards to gain the stability needed for gaming when heavily overclocking.

I could easily offload my rad fans to a controller or mobo. I just want them to fix the XOC so we don't have to run a jerry rigged bios to get the performance we want out of these cards.

Are you daily driving the XC3 BIOS? I wish there was a way to compare power draw vs the traditional BIOS's. Even a outlet watt difference, if anyone has a KILLAWATT or similar device.

Now that my card has a hybrid kit in it, yes it's my daily driver. Getting about 800K more PPD on average when folding, and in CP2077 I can turn DLSS to balanced instead of auto at 4K ultra RT preset.

Power:
Average no load draw - 330W
Average folding draw - 844W
844 - 330 = 514
514 × 0.94 (PSU efficiency rating at that load) = 483W

That's while folding, not gaming. Gaming will likely bit a little higher. My old max power draw was 460W using GPU-Z to monitor it with any other VBIOS - and that wasn't 460W for everything, that was 460W one time in one game - most of the time the card stayed at 420 to 440W max.

Check the power limits for all the rails.  I posted the google drive link earlier.
GPU Chip, Source, MVDDC (FVBDD) all have their own power limits, not just the 8 pins and PCIE Slot.  GPU-Z will show all the main ones, but HWinfo64 seems to have some extras, which not sure who knows what they mean (what's the difference between input power, input power (sum), output power and output power (sum)?)
