Is it safe to update to this Beta Bios OC-Version for 3090 Ultra or will there be a non-beta version soon? I am on Precision x1 1.1.4. with the firmware update coming from 1.1.3

Likely u got someone elses rma return lol

Oh I know I did, i see the previous serial number sticker under the new one lol.

are you serious lol

Why not, if someone rma returned a card that is working as expected at stock specs it is normal for such cards to be repackaged and redistributed

Sorry.  I doubt this happened.  By law a retailer and/or manufacturer must sell the item as "refurbished" if the box has been opened.

Plus, if your reason for sending it back for "Red Lips" was on your RMA, then it seems odd you would get a duplicate of the same issue.

By definition an rma replacement is not considered a sale

My unmodded card peaked at 511w in time spy extreme. Excuse the blue light filter.

Still wondering why the cards are showing PWR at 75W PCIE when PCIE is supposed to throttle at 82.5W in the vbios.

/Shrug

Depending on reboot i either hit power or vrel or both with a total system draw of just over 1000w (oh and obviously thermal atm with the slider maxed out lol)

Dunno, but with the 2-pin XC3 VBIOS, my normally heavily power limited card is drawing over 500W. This bad boy running CP2077 at 4K ultra RT preset with DLSS set to balanced at mid 50 to 60 FPS (thank you Gsync!) at 2100MHz. With any other VBIOS, I'm lucky to get around 1950Mhz (except in the menu), and I have to change the DLSS preset to auto to get about the same FPS (and get the weird swirlies with multiple straight lines in close proximity on the floor/road).

It's likely a hardware choice that EVGA made since all other VBIOSs don't change the PCIE power draw from being so high, other than the XC3 VBIOS. So, something tells me that EVGA wrote this one off since they've not bothered letting us know what they found - and they DO already know. Again, probably because it was their own design/hardware choice that did this.

Yeah my rma replacement works well, just sucks that I baby my original one that’s like mint condition and the other rma I got is all scratched up and looks like they just slapped it together

Ok, so is the solution to just run the XC3 bios? All I care about is great game performance, not benchmarking. Which exact bios do I install, and is it just a simple flash? No ill effects?
