Thank You! I asked because I have a RTX 2080TI KPE Hybrid and it uses almost the same except that the part of the VRM is entirely covered with a copper HS, and I think the copper thin plate is almost the same, also uses an Asetek 240 AIO. My only concern are the chips on the back of the card that's the reason OPTIMUS Waterblock went off Stock inmediately because it's huge, wich I could lay may hands on one, but dunno when they'll be restocked. Almost nobody is paying attention to the back part and it does help if you cool it.

The back of the card does have a flat heatpipe running on part of it with thermal pads connecting to the vRAM on the back to "spread" the heat out over the backplate - it's better than nothing.  The big difference with the Hybrid vs the non-Hybrid 3090 is the fact that the GPU & everything else is running cooler on the GPU side due to the AIO cooling the die, which results in less heat being soaked in to the PCB, and as a result, the vRAM doesn't run quite as hot either (GDDR6X does run hot, period, compared to earlier GDDR versions).

Here's some numbers I saw during a half hour or so brief gaming session in Cyberpunk - note this is with an undervolt as shown by the voltage readout during the load, but also note, the GPU core clock is higher than what it runs at stock ;) undervolt overclocking ftw! :

If I'm correct about positioning, MEM1 is located between the GPU die & the VRM that is towards the exhaust-end of the card, meaning it's in the hottest area with the way these cards vent their heat.  MEM2 is between the GPU die & the PCIe slot, and MEM3 is either on the backside of the GPU, or between the GPU die & the VRM that is towards the fan of the card, but it is also getting direct airflow from the fan, on top of the GPU block's soak-style cooling, which is why it's running the coolest.
I wonder if Buildzoid covered the actual iCX sensor placements in his PCB breakdown for the 3090 FTW3 Ultra... it's the same PCB - I'll have to look that video up & give it a rewatch.  I'd love to know 100% for sure where those sensors are.

Running Cyberpunk 2077 ALL Ultra Settings at 3440x1440 I have those same MEM Temps on Air with fans at 77% and a fan blowing behind NOT pointed to where the caps are but to the whole backplate (the fan is in a stand at less than 1cm from the backplate and paralell to it), so it does a good job, and here it's 25C+ room temp. Core goes to 67C and max I saw was 70C. I was lucky with this card, not only on Clocks but Cooling. Those temps you have are nice but I think I will wait for a good water block instead.

Cheers Sergio!

Yeah Cyberpunk is the heaviest load I can find so far it seems, on my 3080 it was running several degrees warmer than any other game on the GPU core temp, and that was with the fans capping out at 80% under load.  But, it's also the only game I've played extensively that has RT & DLSS both in it, haven't played Control or Watch Dogs Legion yet even though I own them.
It's one great game visually so far, that's for sure though.

Well, hybrid kit installed. The instructions weren't the best (could have said WHICH screw package to use, the bags were labeled) and it was missing the two rubber plugs for the two screw holes that weren't used. Swapped the two fans with two corsair ML120s - no push/pull yet.

Very minor upgrade in performance using the XC3 VBIOS https://www.3dmark.com/compare/pr/645547/pr/542809#

Using the XOC or Kingpin VBIOS was still getting heavily power limited. But I did see one very brief spike to 506W. Since the hybrid will keep the card cooler (hopefully), I'm going to try out the XC3 VBIOS for gaming and see if it helps any in CP2077 - on air it got up to 78C on air with 100% fans.

Did you happen to take pictures during the kit install at all?  People are asking if the Hybrid kit/cards have an actual heatsink over the VRMs & the like... I can see for certain there is one on the VRM closer to the GPU's exhaust, but I can't get at the angle to confirm the other VRM has fins as well.

Is this what you’re looking for?

Will try and take better pics when I finally get around to installing it.

This is for the ftw3.

You don't understand i can't install those drivers due to the fact i'm using Hybrid Kit on top of FTW3 Ultra card so those bios can't detect any adapters
