Sorry, but even if this got fixed anytime next year this was my last EVGA card...
Already looking for an alternative, but getting a 3090 in germany is really hard right now.
At this point, is the 3090FE even worse or a good alternative to buy ??
3090 FE needs a backplate side thermal pad rework (pretty much all samples do--you can use Thermalright Odyssey 1.5mm for both sides and PCB hotspots no problem, this includes VRAM Also!), but is shunt mod friendly. Some of the issues stopping other boards from exceeding 530W shunted (e.g. with PNY reference) don't seem to happen with the FE. You can rework the thermal pads like this.

It's best to scrape the conformal coating off the silver edges of the shunts before modding, with a tiny flat blade screwdriver. Just be careful of the edges of shunts being lower than the middle as that causes contact issues, especially with MG 842AR silver paint (8 pin #1 shunt is the hardest to get to because a choke is right next to one of the conductive edges).
A good protip to modding is to use Kapton tape around shunts if you are soldering (this is very helpful), or Super 33+ electrical tape if you are doing a paint mod (no soldering).
