That's what I'm counting on.  I clicked the notify link near launch date figuring it wouldn't work at all.

Yeah, I clicked the notification within a few hours of the cards being listed on EVGA's site. So I have to be somewhere within the first 5,000 people or so. Well, I hope that's the case anyway.

Exactly. This is so far beyond any vendor, who are figuratively just throwing scraps out among the wolves. Those vendors don't care about scalpers or bots or anything. They're getting their sales either way. It's not their problem.
 
The fact that EVGA has made this a priority has raised them to new heights in my book. Maybe later on they can do special Elite status drops and whatnot. Why not just be happy there's finally something better than F5 and checking out so fast you accidently sent it to your Mom?

I already purchased a 3080 from NE for one of my kids. I need another for my other kid. Does the one card per house hold apply even if one card is purchased from another vendor? (I already registered the 3080 with EVGA. ) By the way this que system is a great solution.
