Feeling a little better after seeing some of the times people are reporting here, but I'm guessing that ahead of all of the honest users here are the sneakerhead bot discord groups that have thousands of accounts registered in the first 5 or 6 minutes after 9:00 PST.

Even all the twitch bot pages had links ready for chat to click on as well

Aer the hybrids any good?  Are they quiet?  Do people mostly put the RAD in the front of their cases? 

My 2080Ti Hybrid was excellent, as was the prior Titan X Pascal hybrid. They were both 120mm radiators so I had them mounted at the rear of the case as exhaust.
 

So those rumors some time ago that the 3080s were discontinued: how the hell are we supposed to DISREGARD those rumors when all you see dropping left and right for weeks now (inluding websites out there) is a truck ton of 3090, 3070 and everything else BUT 3080s?
 
RTXStocks reports drops for pretty much everything daily across a load of websites across US and Canada but 3080s are nowhere to be found since the past 2-3 weeks...
 
So what is going on here exactly? There is some serious explaining to do at this point, and don't you dare tell me that nothing is wrong with the '80s compared to the other cards that keep dropping...

I cannot fault EVGA for their process. It is by far the best process out there IMO. At least you have a chance to get one with EVGA by just being put on the waiting list.

Apologies to those who have been here awhile and read this from me already, but...I continue to believe that the queue system is the worst gpu purchasing system out there...except for all the other systems.  
 
We bemoan our positions in the lines we care about, but we are glad to have the lines...glad they are virtual as opposed to overnight in a cold parking lot in the middle of a pandemic...glad we have a community of like minded folks to share our watch.  We don't have it great right now from a card-in-hand perspective, but we don't have it sooo bad.  We will get through this...and if our past few weeks...er...months are precedent...with a good amount of humor and goodwill along the way.  

I just spent 4 hrs waiting in the cold in front of microcenter today and they basically had less than a total of 8 cards 3090s and 3060ti and unfortunately I was 22 position in line at 5am. I'd take this queue system any day. Risking getting sick amidst the worst pandemic of the century is definitely not worth it, so I won't be doing this again.

If anyone is having trouble signing up for the 3080 Hybrid, I suggest googling "Evga 3080 hybrid" and then clicking on the first link. Only way I was able to reserve a card for myself. Advised 2 of my friends who were having trouble loading the page to do the same, and it worked for them as well.

My 3080 FTW3 Ultra auto-notify was set for 11/18 and judging from how that card moves maybe 30 minutes (or less) every day, it seemed like this was my only option of snagging myself a 3080. Never had a hybrid card before, but I'm sure it'll be fantastic (it's EVGA, duh). Thank you EVGA for handling these drops better than anyone else in the game! I'm so relieved that I don't have to be refreshing websites anymore trying to get a card.
