I really did not anticipate the site being down for that long. I've been up for every single launch and no luck. the evga 3080 queue's stoped moving and now bots are hitting the notify list. i agree with the other person ehh. doesnt matter ill see you guys later.

Should just give up on playing cyberpunk till 2021 as well …. really don't want to play on low settings and ruin the start of the game

I cannot fault EVGA for their process. It is by far the best process out there IMO. At least you have a chance to get one with EVGA by just being put on the waiting list.

Apologies to those who have been here awhile and read this from me already, but...I continue to believe that the queue system is the worst gpu purchasing system out there...except for all the other systems.  
 
We bemoan our positions in the lines we care about, but we are glad to have the lines...glad they are virtual as opposed to overnight in a cold parking lot in the middle of a pandemic...glad we have a community of like minded folks to share our watch.  We don't have it great right now from a card-in-hand perspective, but we don't have it sooo bad.  We will get through this...and if our past few weeks...er...months are precedent...with a good amount of humor and goodwill along the way.

Aer the hybrids any good?  Are they quiet?  Do people mostly put the RAD in the front of their cases? 

I have had a great experience with my 980 Ti Hybrid. Super quiet, never gets above 50 C which is important for me since I have an M.2 SSD right beneath it. It has lasted over 4.5 years with no issues. I got a queue to purchase one of the non-hybrid 3080's but declined it to wait for the hybrid model to come out. Little did I know I would likely be waiting months later to get one.


 

The Hybrid cards are just regular XC3s right? I could pull the AIO shroud off and use an EK waterblock like any other XC3?

My 3090 FTW showed up yesterday. The black lips look so much better than the red. I pulled myself off of all the 3090 queues. May your wait times be short and your overclocks high.

Oh interesting. I've had to RMA my 3090 Ultra. I wonder if the replacement will have black or red accent. I don't mind the red, but I'll be putting a water block on it soon anyway.

What was the issue with your card that you had to RMA it? I am going to get the EK waterblock. It is available for preorder now.

Short black screens to start with. Thought I got it fixed but then it started crashing out of games even on default stock clocks, and not particularly heavy games either - Civilization V for one (yes, the version that came out in 2010), same with rendering, and even photoshop crashed to desktop, some crashes were full resets, another was BSOD.. and all with no overclocking. I even changed PSU and did a full fresh install of Windows, but it continued. Hope the replacement card is better.

The saving grace in all of this waiting is perhaps by the time we get our 3080s, CD Projekt Red will have Cyberpunk 2077 all patched up! It might even go on sale by then...
