Well, got the kingpin running the other day. Stock bios got core clocks of 2210 out of the box. Switched to ln2 bios, can't get it to 120% using current px1 it's stuck at 112% and can't oc any higher than 2210.

Installed firmware at first bootup of px1.

Anything I'm missing?

I had the same issue (although I use AB) and was able to resolve it by doing the firmware update via PX1 as you described. Maybe try downloading latest beta of AB or as has already been suggested, re-installing PX1? Hopefully your firmware installed okay and didn't bug out or something.

Stock bios 2210 is nice! For reference I can't even get past 2010mhz on the LN2 bios without being throttled hard.

Reinstalled px1. Now slider is at 112 for the normal bios. It doesn't drop to 105% for OC anymore either.

Hmmm

Try Afterburner 4.6.3 Beta 2

Tried that, it stays stuck at 105%, GPUZ says it's using the ln2 bios based on max power.  Tried ddu'd the drivers, uninstalled px1, reinstalled.  I even thought my bios slider switch was borked, but it changes in GPUZ

My only guess would be that your firmware update failed somehow, but usually that bricks the GPU or causes obvious issues. I had the exact same problem but updating firmware fixed it (though now I'm having different issues, hah).

GPU-Z always showed the correct bios even before firmware update, it was just PX1/AB Power Limit stuck at 105%.

Thanks for your help. I installed 1.1.3 of px1 and it corrected power slider issue. Reinstalled 1.1.4 and it's fixed.

Hello! Happy new year everyone!

I managed to buy a 3090 kingpin in Spain which is supposed to arrived by the end of January. (Huge milestone to be honest 😅)

I do have my system under watercooling loop and I am trying to find a waterblock for this GPU. I have contacted EKWB and their responses was that they are not going to develop a block for this card.
Does anyone know if there is any brand which is working on it?

Best,
Miguel/Nikos

So far the only place talking about a block for the kingpin is optimus cooling but they have a poor track record with manufacturing what they say and shipping out on time without several delays in what they say.

I have sent an email to them about this, I will let you know if I receive any information.

I got my Kingpin a few days ago in Spain as well (Coolmod). Very happy with it coming from a STRIX.

It runs cool with the stock radiator-fans. I'm replacing the fans for noctuas (the stock fans are bad).
