any ideas on how to get a waterblock for 3090 Kingpin?

An EVGA one?  Good luck, they are rare.  Would have to luck out on eBay or could try putting out feelers at /r/hardwareswap.

If you just want a waterblock, Bykski makes one:
https://www.bykski.us/collections/new-products/products/bykski-full-coverage-gpu-water-block-w-integrated-active-backplate-for-evga-rtx-3090-kingpin-n-ev3090kp-tc
(They can be found cheaper on eBay).

The bykski KP 3090 blocks with active backplate cooling are $175 on AliExpress before any coupon discounts.  With some of the coupons on the site, they are $150-$160 or maybe even lower.

very glad to have "stupidly" bought the 3090 Ti KPE (it was so close to ada after all)

wish i put more effort in to tracking down 1080 Ti kingpins before this news...seems it will be all but impossible. if any of y'all are sitting on some, i'm buying :)

I know old thread, but do you still have your 3090 Kingpins? You and I are the only one's ive seen on the leaderboards with SLI KPE's. Sorry for the randomness lol.

Hi Guys,

Let me start by saying I am a noob. Really.
Now that we have that clear, I have bought 2 3090Ti Kingpin and am doing slowly a sort of a collectors PC for my personal enjoyment only with Kingpin series EVGA stuff.
Questions: where can I buy the 52u Powerlink, and the PerFE 12 cables? I say this because I am in Europe and the European site has nothing, I repeat nothing. Plus having a colleague in the states that is whiling to help me, the US site and the US support have been useless.
I can pay a premium for these products.
Thank you for all help and hints.

Hello Lowen,

As a fellow european (who also kept his eye on EVGA stuff closely and have alot of info "usually") i decided i would chip in there.
You are a little late for the powerlink 52u for you to source it by normal means, we never had it on the EVGA EU Shop, don't waste your time with that site, it has now been fully empty for atleast 6-8 months of any products (fact, i have personally kept eye on it for over 3 years now). For the highest tier products of EVGA we (as europeans) had to start sourcing them from NA through any means necessary for the last couple of major product releases (not saying that this accessory is that, but it was exclusive enough and limited to KP cards).

However, i have seen it a month or so ago on eBay, it was definetly a premium price, but that is where you will find it, that is the place i would watch, no other reachable site has had them (this stems from the fact that only EVGA US Shop sold it and in a somewhat limited quantity).
Having your colleague in the states will improve the chances drastically, have him look around locally on eBay and/or other platforms of similar nature (if they exist), i don't personally know what others exist there.
As for you from home, using eBay.com/eBay.de there is also no problem with ordering, if the product is in fact in the states, it will say if it can ship and import will be displayed on there and handled just fine with you knowing (no hidden charges).

As for the PerFE 12 cable, i don't know why would you want that specifically, it offers nothing over proper 12VHPWR (or 12+4 or 16pin cable if you like), furthermore if you will be using powerlink 52u-s, you will be using many 8 pins anyways.
It might be possible this cable can be acquired the same way, keep an eye, but i would say it's not a gain, more like a loss, also it's less likely to appear on the used market, they were more prominent for the FE cards when the first two came with 12pin connectors (which had no sense pins). I would rather get a premium sleeved that is not only practical but looks nice from the likes of CableMod.
From a pure cable management perspective the single 12VHPWR cables would be alot cleaner than two powerlink 52us, which will use in total 10x 8pin connectors (this might even prove to be a problem for whatever PSU you have, not many has this number), on the other hand as much as it's controversial, i think this powerlink is somewhat beneficial for clean and stable power, especially to such OC cards (having 5x 8pin instead of 4 is also probably in design to account for this).

UPDATE: i found one right now here , but hardly worth it, especially if you need two.

Hi Epsolike,

Thank you very much for your words.
Indeed that is what I figured out after nosing around for 1 month...
That ebay deal as well. I was trying to buy from EVGA just as caution, but the price is inside what I proposed to pay. It is just a collectors item.

Now on the cables... it is just I have no clue how to connect the boards...
They come with 2x 12 Pins (male) each to 3x8 (female) pins as you surely know.

The PSU I had is a supernova 1000 P6.
The ports are:

How the hell do I plug those here?
:)

Any hint?
So I thought thought those perFE cables were needed...

Cheers.

Hey Lowengrim,

The SuperNOVA P6 1000 has 5x 8pin connectors only, this is far from enough for two 3090Ti KP cards. Not exactly sure if one PSU can do it, but you either will need two or one way higher wattage and with more connections (considering generally one 16pin ends in 3x8 pin).
I would advise you to talk to either EVGA or CableMod, perhaps both to find out how many do you need exactly (if it is 4x 2 or if it's 4x 3 connections, 4x because you have 4x 16 pin connectors on the two cards total).
Either way you are looking at a minimum 8x to 12x 8 pin connectors. You will probably need/want two separate PSUs, if we think for a second, not a single ATX3.0/PCI5.0 PSU even has four 16pin connectors, they have TWO at most, and not many has two even.
GALAX offers one that has two, so you would want two of those in theory (and then you could run only 4 cables total, alot less messy). GALAX HoF GH1300 is how the unit is called, but you would need to source it from Asia through a proxy delivery service, other than that perfectly doable if you got the money. For the cables, you will probably just gotta order them from CableMod, but only once you know what exact PSUs you will be using (new ones with 16pins or old ones with many 8pins) and exactly which split you need (2x8 or 3x8 on PSU end).

Anyone know where to find an Optimus Kingpin Block?  I’m still rocking my 3090KP block.

Anyways, my 3090KP HC GPU is so dang solid right now in 2023! I have the EVGA Kingpin Hydro Copper since 2021, and I’m running 2,220Mhz on my GPU. The internal clock is actually higher at 2,227Mhz 😂 since I’ve added some extra NVVD voltage. This 2,227 internal clock is in games and stable even with temps up to 40C, @650 watts, that’s the warmest I’ve seen with my cooling, and you can game for hours upon hours at 2,227Mhz internal clock.

Kingpin XOC tool with the 1KW bios is a MUST! If you have good cooling. Being able to run speeds like this has made my card a BEAST!!! Since I work and game on my rig, I probably have north of 5,000 hours on this 3090KP. I hate the fact that when I do eventually upgrade my GPU, it will be some crap with voltage limited cancerous firmware. The 3090 Kingpin with XOC bios, and KP tool is literally free to do what you wish. I’ve had a blast with this thing.
