Yea these Kingpin PR numbers, I'm seeing reported, on ambient aren't exactly impressing me. I'm not sure if it's just because even a 360mm rad is enough or maybe EVGA's engineering this generation just wasn't up to par for whatever reason.

Yea, PR scores on ambient are not really any better than ftw3 on air which is disappointing. I wonder if they cut corner this KPE gen compared to last gen in cooler or other components. 2080 ti KPE was definitely a step up from ftw3.

Ya and Joe got really close to Vince with the 3090 FTW III after shunt mod, 1000w bios ect...  Something is out of alignment this cycle. I should have just sidelined myself and spectated...

This entire 30 series launch cycle is so FUBAR, its like a bovine fecal tornado expelling "bravo sierra" everywhere in its path...

All the cards I've tested (3x ftw3 ultras 3090s and 1x kingpin 3090) land around the same territory within 200 points of each other on Port Royal (14600-14800). Not 100% sure myself if this cap is hardware or software related myself.

Also, I notice peeple getting crazy scores on cards with low gpu clocks changes +120-145 versus mine hitting +180-210 to get the SAME scores or lower. The video above is one example. I can get his scores, (especially if I use an AC unit), but he is getting those scores at 60 points less with his card. And we are doing the same things otherwise.

The good news is I found someone locally to sell me an Asus 3090 Strix OC at close enough to cost to not bother me. So, I will text how that card works on my 10900k and 5950x setups in comparison.

BTW, between the two setups, I seem to always fall 400 lower on my msi godlike and 5950x setup. Odd, considering it should be a gpu test only...

Yup good point. I can add to this that I've had both 3090 FE and Strix and I could barely beat FE score with Strix

Is there a fan stop feature on Kingpin? Specifically, radiator fans. I know memory fan stops at idle

Does anyone know if using the dip switches is safe for daily use?

Asus card seems to have hard stops while the ultra has soft stops on power limits.

Do the Nvidia 3090 gpus have built in voltage stops? It is starting to feel that way after playing around with a few different cards by different manufacturers. Evga's board allows you to OC more for whatever reason, but without much performance benefit. Like it is bypassing something in the gpu but running into something else that keeps it from using too much power.
