I have a new build with a Z490 FTW (1.04 BIOS) & Intel 10900K. Running at Auto CPU settings with Intel EIST & Turboboost enabled, I'm failing to see any cores reach > 4.9GHz despite CPU temps remaining cool and running test single-threaded workloads (Cinebench single thread, hyper-pi, prime95 single threaded, etc.). Intel extreme tuning utility shows the correct multipliers for 1 or 2 core workloads, and identifies two of my cores as preferred. I'm running Windows 10 2004 and have tried both balanced and high performance power profiles.

Has anyone else had issues achieving boost speeds in single-core tests with this MB + CPU? I'm able to do a manual fixed overclock to the boost speeds, but would like to take advantage of the dynamic speeds for better thermals.

Update - I found the answer in the below thread about the same issue with a different chipset (X99). I had to change the 'CPU C-states' setting in the BIOS from Auto to Enabled. After doing so, I'm seeing turbo boost 3.0 clock speeds with certain workloads.

Edit, it seems links cannot be posted. The thread was titled 'TurboBoost Settings' in the EVGA X299 Series & SR-3 DARK forums
