Get this... I just finished building my custom water loop. Got it all filled up. Reconnected all my cables and bound them with cable ties. Lastly, I plugged in my PSU and turned it on. No LEDs lit up and only a green flashing/breathing power button on my motherboard.

Oddly enough, I can unplug my 24 pin and use the 24 pin jumper I bought to power my D5 Next Pump and the pump is a rocking...

My Gear purchased Feb 2019
Intel i7-7800 Skylake
EVGA x299 Dark
EVGA 1000 P2 Titanium
EVGA 1660 TI
EVGA NU
WD Black M2 1TB
Intel 9xxx GB Wireless &Bluetooth v5 M2
Aqua Computer D5 Next
Aqua Computer Aqualis Top
Aqua Computer 450 ml Reservoir
Aquacool 30mm x 120mm Radiator
Aquacool 120nm Fans
Watercool Heatkiller Pro IV CPU Block

Called EVGA Support and was told my CMOS Battery needs to be removed for 15 minutes and replaced with new battery. It looks like this has worked for a few folks but I am going to have to do a lot of work to replace a CMOS battery in a board I bought direct from EVGA web in February 2019. Basically, I will have to dismantle everything so I can get to this battery.

Is there any other way to fix this?

Thx

If you do remove the CMOS Battery Put in a New One.
Yep you are going to have to remove the Motherboard from the Computer Case.
Did you not put in a New CMOS Battery when you first got your Motherboard?
X299 DARK - hard boot, getting "CMOS checksum error" ----> DEAD CMOS Battery

BTW, tried these steps with no effect...
1. I have not overclocked the CPU
2. Tried all three BIOS
3. Tried power recycle while holding down red CMOS Clear

Extra Setup Stuff
1. Fractal 120mm 3 pin fan plugged into CPU 1 Fan Header
2. Three Aquacool Fans on radiator plugged into D5 Next

So I take it that you did not put in a New CMOS Battery when you got your Motherboard.

It seems to me that EVGA must have some interns that need voltmeter practice that should have been going through every x299 Dark since the New Year and fixing this or adding a bag with a new battery and a florescent orange card that says READ THIS NOW & CHANGE CMOS Battery before using!

Just a bad batch of Batteries in the end, it happens.
This would have been Nice "adding a bag with a new battery"
I had 3 in a row with bad batteries.

I figured it out and it was not the battery.

I had the USB header on in reverse for my water pump. I fixed this and no problems. I am glad to see the problem was PEBCAK.

Ironic, but it brings me comfort knowing it was my mistake. I look to EVGA to provide a product that I can be confident in.
