evgauser28764raidersfan64dmohebanEVGATech_RayHdmohebanHow can I make sure I get one from Amazon with the 11 ghz ram? I mean the 11 ghz version actually has ram rated at 11ghz or is this the same ram tweaked through a bios update? The specs on Amazon rate the ram for the 1080ftw2 at 10 ghz. Must I buy direct from evga? ThanksAt this time, any card that you buy would be the 10GHz models, and you would flash it upon receiving the card. There is no ETA for an updated 11 GHz card in the marketplace at this time.So I should wait or by waiting it will become even more obsolete?Just guessing here, but I think EVGA just gave the new 11GHZ models the same bios treatment they do to other models of their GPU's when they bump the clock speeds. I don't know for sure until EVGA actually makes a statement, but for now I think that's all they did. Jacob though did mention that if any bios flashes to the new 11GHZ mem clock had any issues that we could revert back to the original bios. I wish there was something official about this though it would clear things up hopefully for people wanting to purchase the 11GHZ model. I haven't had any problems with the new bios and it has the improved performance on my FTW2 just a FYI. just find someone who has icx card taking off the cooler and the midplate and provide the numbers printed on the vram surface, then we will know the truth. https://www.micron.com/pr...oductname%5B%5D=GDDR5Xmicron native 1.35v 10gbps vram: D9TXSmicron native 1.35v 11gbps vram: D9VRL https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_1080_Gaming_X/images/memory.jpghttps://www.techpowerup.c...Gbps/images/memory.jpg

dmohebanAccording to that catalog Micron also makes a 12 gbps vram module. Wish Evga would put those in there. That would be awesome. Anyhow not going to buy one unless I know the ram is rated for 11 gbps otherwise its just an overclock.
Mannyfit75How do we verify that our GPU were able to unlock the 11 Ghz?
Scarlet-TechMannyfit75How do we verify that our GPU were able to unlock the 11 Ghz?Is it an Sc2 or FTW3? Thats the first thing. Second, are you willing to take the time to test the card after flashing the bios?
