Recently purchased a Coolermaster 690 II Advanced edition & Transplanted everything from my Coolermaster HAF 932.
Yes it was a downgrade size wise, however everything fits nice inside and yields better temps. So enough BS and onto the pics.

NOTE: the small LED on/off button on the front panel has been connected to my dual 12" white cold cathodes and functions as such.

I've been looking to "downsizing" a bit from my 932 and after multiple reviews (mainly hardware canucks) I have been eye-ing this CM 690 II box, I've heard great things about it.

Is there anything you miss from your 932? How much smaller is it if you could guess-ti-mate?

    Thanks, looks great too!

TBH i dont miss anything, however it is a mid tower case and fitting the H70 was a bit of a task for me. my E758 MB has a tall vreg HS and i was not able to install it at the rear of my case. Also I tried at the top on my case but was only able to install on the inside at the top and had to put only a pull fan ontop of the case outside if that makes sence. the cm 690 II Advance allows for a external fan ontop beneath the mesh though. So in conclusion i fit it between the top of my rom drive which is in the lowest position in the 5.25 bay area and wedged it perfectly between the top of the chassis. Its almost like it was made for it IMO. Other motherboard may not have this issue though, just mine that i am aware of due to the HS for the vreg. So far as smaller is about 4-6 inches shorter/ 2-4 inches in lenghth/ and about 1 inch maybe in width would be my guess. I found this case to have plenty of room for me from my haf 932 and temps are better than my haf 932 as well. just the h70 tweak and life is good. I do miss the dual psu mounting though, but if your tri SLI or Quad with the 400/500 series you need 2 psu's IMO.

So the rad from the H70 fits into the 5.25 cage with now hardware? It is snug enough to not fall out all be itself?

I just want to make sure I'm reading that correctly because I have been considering that cooler for my girlfriends box that is in a bit of tight area with less than stellar air flow. We both have 690's (awesome case imo) and I think that would be a good option.

The Corsair H70 is the best cooler i have found and used other than a component water cooling setup. The Corsair H70 with the CM 690 II Advanced fits very nice between the top of the rom drive and the top of the chassis. It is very snug and will not fall out. It is an ideal placement IMO and can be pushed as far back into the 5.25 bays as the tubing will allow. The best solution is a push/pull config IMO and having a 120mm fan intaking the cold air right through the front of the chassis into the rad and exhausting out the rear of the rad yields great temps. My i7 920 @ 3.8ghz see 30 degrees idle and 50/55 under load in this config.

Note: IMO have a single or 2 120mm fans installed at the top of the chassis to exhaust the hot air from the rad. Heat rises so this setup is ideal as well IMO.

Note:Also having the 2 side poanel 120mm fans installed cools my vreg perfectly and the other helps with my 2 GTX 480's in SLI. Temps for my GPU are 35 top and 30 bottom @ idle and 70 top with 65ish on the bottom one @ 100% load. no matter if im running metro 2033 maxed out, the crysis series or just benching.

    Hope this info helps guys.

I assume your speaking of the filters on the sidepanel? they are great and are a must IMO. I have a recently adopted cat and before the filters the case was full of cat hair due to lack of the filters and high CFM fans in the chassis. Now there is nothing inside but Uber hardware :)

white chassis looks great, but TBH am not a fan of the entire chassis being white. Although it is different, I would prefer the the corsair graphite series white chassis over it.

They looked easy to clean... I wish they would make it in 140mm so I could put one on the back of my case and replace that impossible to clean silverstone filter I have

I have to say I am digging it.  That all looks really good and clean in there.  The 690 has come a long way.  I have done a couple builds back in the day with the original 690, and this is like a night and day difference.

I love my haf, but it is just so dang big.  It did not use to bother my when I used to store a lot of drives in it.  But now I built a server and it sits in the basement with all my other networking stuff.  Its big but cant be seen.  I just dont need it to be this big.
