Hello.

RMA progress
1. after original GTX 780 Ti Classy issue (bought july 2014), new other same card returned on february 2015
2. after this other same card issue, new GTX 980 Ti SC+ returned again on june 2016.

EVGA keeps "start new RMA" button!?! wow?! :) Because the videocard replaced "reseted" the warranty - warranty kept is up to june 2019, ok? - If he will say "no", I'll buy new top-end GeForce RTX videocard in this year or in early next year.

Regards.

Did you buy the extended warranty when you purchased your card?

Getting a replacement video card through warranty does not reset any warranty. The same warranty keeps going. You would have to actually purchase an extended warranty to get the extended warranty.

No, I can't buy it after 90 days of the videocard purchased but the seller bought original videocard on july 2014 and 7 months later... I paid this videocard to this seller.

I'll choose Zotac for the FREE extended warranty to 5-year.

    Thank you.

“The seller”. Second hand purchases do not get extended warranties. If you bought from someone that had already purchased the card, your warranty starts on the day the video card left EVGA, and would be out of warranty for over a year.

According to Zotac, if you had bought from another user, you wouldn’t have any warranty at all. Make sure you buy brand new, and make sure you register your product. Could you provide a link to the free 5 year warranty you mentioned? It shows an extended warranty, but doesn’t show how to redeem the extended version.

“Products must be purchased as new from an authorized ZOTAC reseller. Warranty only applies to the original purchaser of the product and cannot be transferred. Products purchased as secondhand or used, or from auction sites, do not carry any warranty.”

Yeah. But I'll stay GTX 980 Ti after new Zotac videocard because I love enthusiast videocard (eg: GTX 28x, 480, 580, 780 series...) except GTX 680, GTX 980 non-Ti... because I don't like any mid-end or bottom high-card due to the die area.

Thank you again. Likely bye-bye to EVGA but when the EVGA extended warranty will be free again, I'll back here.

Again, make sure you are buying brand new or your warranty will never get extended. Also, as stated, zotac shows that warranties do not transfer, so if you had purchased a used card, you would have been in a worse situation than you are.

I wish I could afford something like that.
AND a new system to put it in!

I don't buy this card now for too high price (remember GTX 1080 Ti costs US$700~$750 - normal price). Therefore, most people protest to NVIDIA for NV to force to drop price in next 1 or 2 months. ;)
