Since i havn't been able to find a proper review of the GTX 570 classified i will just ask in here .. ! i have a problem at the moment.. i am sitting here with my gts 450 and a nice sum of money that i got back in taxes.. what i have been thinking about so far GTX 560 classified GTX 570 classified Since i know that the 560 classified performs just a little bit better than the reference gtx 570, i want to know how much more performance the gtx 570 classified will offer.. ? i know it will be more, but is it worth it?.. looking forward to responses

Don't think there's a 560 Classy, are you asking about the 560Ti Classy?
Either way, a 570 with 480 cores will outperform a 560Ti Classy with only 448 cores.
The 570 Classy comes with higher clocks than the reference 570.
Only advantage with the 560Ti Classy is that they typically overclock better than the 570's.

The 570 Classy comes with a stock core of 822 while the reference stock core is 732.
I can overclock both my reference 570's just above 900 on the cores.
Not sure if the Classy overclocks better, but I would say not.
They just bind the Classy with a better quality chip, with a higher core & voltage.
If it were me I would get a reference 570, why pay the extra money for a Classy?

About $400 USD, a GTX 580 would be out your price range.
Same would hold true for two standard 560Ti's in SLI.
You're kinda limited with your price range, I would say go for the 570 Classy.

If its within your price range I'd go for a GTX 580 3 gb card. If you come across some monies later you can always step up to the GTX 680.
If that is not an option, go with the GTX 570 2.5 Gb card. The double memory will make a difference in newer and future games. You'll be set up to handle anything.

The GTX 580 is basically a revision of the GTX 480. The adjustments make the GTX 580 run sightly cooler, which allows for a higher peak overclock. They also did some adjustments on the idol power usage to make it run a little more efficient. Other than that, an overclocked GTX 480 to about 800MHz on the core clock is going to put you at the same performance of a stock GTX 580.
Also, that GTX 480 through EVGA would allow you to be eligible for step-up as well.

2 more questions then :).. 1: is the 480 gonna fit in my case? (coolermaster scout) 2: will the heat be a problem on a 480?, it is gonna sit above a gts 450 that i use currently :)

I don't notice any heat issues with mine... Yes, it should fit inside your case. I use a CoolerMaster Advanced II 692 and it fits with plenty of room.

Not really, both the 480 and 570 have 480 cuda cores, where as the 580 has 512 cuda cores. The 570 will typically out perform a 480 because it can usually overclock with a higher core frequency.

Is buying a card used an option? I have bought most of my parts used and have had zero issues. If you can I would try to buy a 580 used and see if you cant get international shipping, It may also not be a bad idea to post a wtb thread looking for someone in Europe who would sell you one

Yes really... lol Revision allows changes, a whole 32 CUDA cores is not the difference between a Rascal and a motorcycle. While the GTX 570 can achieve higher frequencies in more extreme overclocks, but it lacks on the memory interface. You have a 1.536GB 384bit (177.4GB/s) vs a 1.28GB 320bit (152GB/s.) They are hardly better than the other in most cases. Remember, I never said the GTX 570 was not able to achieve the performance of a vanilla GTX 580 either. The big thing is that the GTX 480 can be had for $250, which is cheaper than any other option that can get close to the performance of a vanilla GTX 580.

Just my opinion, but I think you should go for the 570 Classified. The 570 Classified comes with better power management than the reference 570, a beefed up pcb, and a few other extra features over the reference. My 570 reference is sweet...quite and cool. The classified is much better for overclocking than the reference. The 480 is a beast, but the 570 does equally well with less power, heat, and noise. If your gameing at 1080 or less, the 570 will take you into the future as far as memory for the majority of games. Check out this YouTube video of the 570 Classified.

I'd say get the 570 classified or get the 480. The 480 will do better in VRAM demanding games such as Crysis 2 and BF3 compared to the 570 classified. You can step-up both to a 600 series card within 90 days.

The nice thing about the 560Ti Classified Ultras are that the GPUs are binned, they come on a 580 PCB (so good power delivery), and their exhaust is like the reference so more air can get out and do so quietly.
I've played with both the 570 Classified and the 560Ti Classy Ultra...I would choose the 560Ti Classy Ultra every time.

Interesting. I havn't been keeping much of an eye on the latest 500 series cards, but the 560Ti Classified Ultra looks like a very nice card. I'm just curious as to how you know that the gpu chips are binned. I see that the card is using a 6 phase power supply, but so does the 570 Classy, so as far as the pcb it would seem a toss-up, unless I'm missing something. While the advantage of the 570 Classified might not be that great, I'm thinking that the 570 would have a clear advantage over the 560 when it comes to DX11 titiles, especially tesselation, due to the extra 32 Pixel Pipelines.

In a purely GPU-intensive application (max details and high res), performance can be approximated to scale linearly with the shader fill rates (number of cores times shader frequency) because they render your game scenes. In comparison to your single GTS450 (assumed at reference frequencies)
GTS450 has 192-cores at 1566MHz
GTX560 Ti Classified has 448-cores at 1620MHz
GTX570 Classified has 480-cores at 1644MHz
This makes GTX560 Ti Classified up to 2.4 times faster and GTX570 Classified is up to 2.6 times faster. I say "up to" because each game uses a different fraction of the GPU while the CPU's share is constant while running your game. If you played a purely CPU-intensive game the percentage difference between these cards and your GTS450 would be very low and performance would depend more on your CPU-- but your games will be in between, more on the 2x faster side since most games are about their graphics and you already have your CPU way up at 5GHz anyway.
Just so you know, GTX560 Ti 448-core is not based on the GF114 of the GTX560 Ti, it is a GTX570 with 32-cores disabled. nVidia branded it as a GTX560 Ti so it wouldn't interfere with GTX570 sales.
For the cost difference you might as well get the 570 C and get your full 480 cores-- but it is also just 32 cores for an estimated 8% gain between the two for $30-40. You're already getting a double with either upgrade, so it is your call.
If you could save for a GTX680, you would get up to 5x performance in a full x16 2.0 slot-- so if in some game max details and a res of 1080p or higher gives you 10 FPS with a GTS450, you get 50FPS with GTX680; approximately.

well, i am not actual that picky when it comes to getting new hardware ^^.. i have been using my GTS 450 for everyday gaming since i bought it a year ago, where it replaced a gts 250  so i just want to be able to handle titles like bf3 and such (my gts 450 can do that at low to medium details), so i think i am gonna order that 570 classified later today :).. then i must keep an eye on everything and see if the gtx 660 or gtx 670 comes out, and if they do at a lower or same price, i will use the step up program thanks to everyone! especially Lephron who really cleared things up!

well the time here in Denmark are now 4pm, and i just got the news that a big computer firm in denmark, called "komplett", is holding what they call a time sale..
lots on different stuff for sale for 1 hour, then some new stuff the next hour..
hardware are gonna come on sale at around 8 pm danish time..
so if they have a nice sale i am prob gonna go for it (we are talking above 20% on a lot of items), so lets see what comes!.. if there isn't any good deals then i am gonna order the 570 classy later :)

I have a 560 classy 448 core and it runs over 900Mhz. Can't speak to the 570 classy but I'd look at the price diff....especially since 500 series cards should start to fall in price a bit as 680's make thier way to market.

The 560 Ti classified uses the same pcb as a 480 if i remember correctly, thats why people can use 480 backplates on it. I'd either choose a 570 classified and overclock it as much as I can or get a 480 and have some more vram because at 1080p my 470s(same vram as both classified cards) run out of vram with 4xMSAA enabled in BF3(i have it off right now and it runs fine with FXAA on high).

The regular 400/500 will not fit. While it looks like the 680 one would, i don't think it will because the dvi ports on a 680 seem farther apart from the other connectors than the 570's. Edit: Okay the 680 also will not fit: http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=1521364
