So this is just a quick question:

In EVGA Precision X OC, my memory clock is showing at 5005. As this is GDDR so we need to double the 5005 but that is still only 10 ghz. From my understanding, these cards are suppose to run at 5500 mhz to reach 11 ghz correct?

Now I can "correct" this by added 500 to my memory and the it does run at 5500 without issue. Is this just a visual display thing or is there a way for me to verify the speed at which my memory is running at?

Thanks!

What does gpu-z say the default memory clock is? Should be like 1377. GDDR5x you need to x4 the number to get the correct clock.

    1377 x 4 = 5508

    5508 x 2 = 11016.

Oh interesting, GPU-Z shows 1376 which means it should be running on target at 11 ghz. I guess this is just a Precision display issue?

Also, don't worry at all if you are seeing 5005 MHz while folding. It reduces memory speed for stability and it is normal.

As redleader00 as stated, it depends on what you are doing when you look at that value.

If you are Folding, BOINC or any scientific work on your card, the card will shift from the P0 state to the P2 state.

As stated, it's done for stability reasons. You can manually overclock the memory to a P0 state value but it greatly increases the chances of computational errors or even crashes.

Looks like the OP was doing math stress tests last week. https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2687367

He was probably doing the same today.

Wouldn't be surprised if it were a precision xoc issue as xoc has had some bugs recently.

Yeah it seems to be a xoc display issue, which I am ok with haha! I just got my RMA card in today and I am running the same tests as in that older thread of mine (and so far its perfect, no issues) just to make sure everything is good.
