Has anyone installed 2 extra 140mm on the back of a radiator with 2 in the front for more pull? (4x140mm)

If so, what was the temp drop if any?

It probably wouldn’t drop much if any and could (probably) increase the heat since the fans might not be pulling air at the same speed front to back. To kind of sum it up it would be like two cars traveling at the same speed to a city for the same starting point. It’s not like they are moving twice as fast because you have two cars. The fans can only move the airflow they are rated for based on the speed the fan blades turn.

I think the push pull dual fan is designed to reduce fan noise rather than increase cooling.

Well i'll go ahead and find my finding if I can get E-leet to run and get the tempeture for my CPU right now. It doesn't even open after confirmation administrative rights.

Through experience, there is no benefit of 2 vs 4 fans. I run a CLC280 in my HAF. Currently with just the 2 fans. In previous builds I've swapped between 2 and 4 fans with no notable difference. 4 fans is just added complexity and wider rad footprint in a build. The only real benifit that can be had with playing with fan configuration is making sure you get high static pressure fans.

Also depends on rad thickness and fin density... Doubt push pull would be worth it on this application.

Well I managed to stack 2 140mm fans on the back and it seemed to bring the idle temp down by 1 Celsius, I did have them at 100% though.
