My GPU stopped working suddenly a week ago. When i turned on my PC, it didnt display anything on screen and the motherboard error codes indicated a GPU issue. After that, i took apart the GPU backplate to see if there was any sign of burn area and noticed some of the caps broke off from the back of the PCB. Theres also another cap that looks like it bobbled up and exploded near some of the power chips.
I contacted EVGA Support and they told me that i could RMA but its no guarantee that my card will be fix. So what should i do? send the graphic card, pay for the whole shipping and expect the best of EVGA? Or is there a way to get the schematic of the card in order to see what happen or whats missing if thats the case.
Also i want to know if anyone has use EVGA RMA service, and if thats the case, do they fix or try to fix the problem or if they see its complicated they just return the card? because when i spoke to tech support they told me that if they think its a physical damage caused by the user they just returned. So i just lost 700$ for a graphic card?
My graphic card is a EVGA GTX 1080 FTW (The first one that came out with overheating issues and EVGA "fix it" by applying thermal pad to it)
PD: Sorry for my english, is not perfect so i try my best to explain myself
