Some good news, I re-seated the CPU, took out the 2 RAM sticks with issues and blew 2 DIMM-slots clean with my mouth for good luck, and guess what, all DIMMs works :D
I believe it was the CPU, because I tried re-seating the RAM many times before and already cleaned the DIMM slots out, but who knows ;)
congratulations !! good news !!
Ty.
For some reason I cannot send PM's yet. But I will notify you, dont worry =)
Only waiting for a SSD, scooped a 8tb used for cheap so now that is solved too. Was hoping to be able to boot directly from NVME and nothing more, but that failed. Then its time to crunch some numbers.
Also I see no reason why 96gb should be max with ECC ram as in specs? will try with 16gb sticks later this weekend or maybe I wait until SSD comes around Tuesday.
Have other boards such as x99 chipset say they support X-amount, but that is always more with ECC ram.
Really love the feature where u can disable DIMM and PCIE slots with manual switches too. This is a really fun board to tinker and build with. Lots of possibilities. The only negative part I can think of is how 1 CPU controls all PCIE lanes and you cannot get x16 speed on more than 2 slots. Not end of the world because I will use 3060, but if you are on multiple 3090 GPUS u probably get skimped some.
